Well, Steve Madden does tend to knock off popular shoes (at least they LOOK similar enough). I bought a pair of his Stella McCartney vinyl pump knockoffs. Just because I was poor. >.<
But in general, with the exception of those thonged heels that everyone seems to be wearing these days, I find his shoes to mostly be uncomfortable. After about a half an hour in those knockoffs, my feet were aching.
On a slightly unrelated note, I recently decided that I'm going to try not to submit myself too often to cheaper, but lesser quality shoes, after those Steve Maddens (even though they were damn cute), and after I just bought a pair of black satin Vera Wang slingback sandals, which I have walked all around my college campus in, and my feet NEVER hurt. It's the quality, most likely. I can't wait to buy a pair of Manolos, Choos, or Louboutins.
If only I could have Carrie's closet of shoes.
