The Strokes

Love mellowed out Jules, and he looks amazing! The clip of his song at the end of the video sounded great, I CAN NOT WAIT for this album. Hope a single pops up soon.

He looks Fantastic I am so happy for this new album. I like his hair like this as well.

^:brows: :buzz: His right eye looks kind of weird , but he's still Jules

What would I do without you HeatherAnne? Thank you!

This might have been posted before, but Red Light is one of my favorite songs and this live performance is simply amazing

"Oh the sky's not the limit and you're never gonna guess what it is". What a great way to finish an album.

Red Light IS my favorite song. Because at times it's almost romantic, even though it may or may not be written about a prostitute :lol:

Albert's in rehab :( NYPost confirmed this story.

This may be the wildest rumor since Rod Stewart got his stomach pumped, but there's serious buzz in NYC nightlife circles that Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has halted recording on their new album to check into an L.A rehab.

The story goes that the other Strokes, no abstainers themselves, were so concerned about Hammond's recent behavior that they urged him to check into an L.A. rehab within the past few days. Hammond's stay has reportedly delayed recording sessions in New York for the Strokes fourth album, and is said to be costing the band a small fortune. No word on whether this supposed spiral had anything to do with the demise of his relationship with British supermodel Agyness Deyn. We emailed Hammond's mouthpiece at Nasty Little Man p.r. about this nasty little rumor, and are awaiting an official response. We hope he's okay!

^I hope he will be okay soon. It's probably been hard for all of them, but they did the right thing. I really don't mind if their new album release will be delayed if Albert will be healed.

Is This It was considered the 5th best album of the decade by Uncut.
Uncut's Greatest Albums Of The Decade

5: The Strokes, 'Is This It' (Rough Trade, 2001). Uncut say: "A joyful, lyrical and intelligent evocation of being young in pre-9/11 New York City."

have to agree - not sure what place it should have but must be def. in first 10 od decade. It wasn't maybe someyhing mindblowing but it started that kind of garrage/indie/simple playing backing on track.

The Strokes suffering new album 'disagreement'

Julian Casablancas says there's a split in the band's camp

Julian Casablancas has revealed that there is a "disagreement" in the band over whether the new songs destined for their forthcoming fourth album are complete.

The frontman told The Sun that the New York band were split in terms of believing whether they were in a position to go ahead and complete the follow-up to 2006's 'First Impressions Of Earth'.

"There is a disagreement as to whether the snogs are ready," he explained. "Some of the band think they are and others don't. I'm somewhere in the middle."

Casablancas suggested that part of the problem stemmed from the fact that the band don't live near each other anymore.

"The problem is getting us together," he said. "We're scattered everywhere, and apart from when we're rehearsing we don't see each other. We're not like people who go to the movies together.

"It's weird with the band, a band is actually a great way to ruin a friendship."

Julian Casablancas releases his first solo album, 'Phrazes For The Young', on November 2.

Julian has been kind of vocal about Strokes issues in all of his recent interviews, hope they work it out.

That article makes me sad, I used to be so into them but now I feel like if they didn't make another album I wouldn't care b/c it would probably be another FIOE.:(

I'm definitely scared now... I have this sad and frightening feeling they're splitting up  I hope I'm wrong.
