I'm scared I won't like the new cd...I love "You Only Live Once"..."Juicebox"..and erm, the other ones I heard don't seem too promising. Especially the one like "15 Minutes of Pain"..IS THIS IT will always be my favorite. I'll listen to it and I'm reminded of my ski trip from a couple of years ago and all is good in the world.

I read a review by someone saying they thought 15 Minutes Of Pain is the worst Strokes song ever! But this reviewer also really liked the other songs on the album.

I got FIOE on first listen it's good, not great. Better than ROF. Althought FIOE could have done with maybe dropping two songs.

I think I'll save my money then..... If it's not worth it then why buy it? It saddens me to hear their music is going downhill.... And they're becoming more popular than ever.... How ironic is that?

Is this It? will always be their best CD, I wont buy their new CD, if I want to keep a great image of them.....!

i really love the new album!!!!!! i downloaded it months ago and like with their old albums i just listen to it over and over....and i disagree! 15 minutes is an amazing song! if you have just bought the new album then have you looked at the mini diagram in the sleeve of 15 min? i think alot of thought has gone into this song and i love it when it gets going!!! if you wanna know the only bad song i think is fear of sleep which is a bit boring ......but the rest of the album is amazing!!!!
i recommend red light, heart in a cage, razorblade, and vision of division!!!!! these are amazing, and Hawaii (which is on the juicebox single as a Bside!.

I hated Juicebox when it first leaked, but I've been getting used to it thanks to the radio. It's not so bad to me anymore (but the music video!). My favorites are Razor Blade, You Only Live Once and Hawaii. I haven't picked up the album yet but I'm definitely going to buy it soon. It's different than their past albums, but I think they pulled it off well.

"Is this It?" captures a moment in time perfectly. It was a total symbol for a change in the mainstream music current along with the White Stripes "White Blood Cells" album. it didn't revolutionize anything but it redirected popular rock music a bit.
I'm not sure if i will like the new album or not, but I saw the video for "Juice Box" yesterday and I like the song. And the video was disturbing (but I liked it...hahha) Anyway I'm pretty sure the Strokes already hit their peak as far as writing music goes. I'd be extremely shocked if this album could leave a mark like "Is this It?" did. (it wont)

they are good, but they are not to the point where you can actually sit down and listen to the whole CD. well that's pretty much every other band out there. just 2 or 3 good songs, and that's it.

My favourites are Ize of the World and Heart in a Cage.

And I adore the Hawaii song..too bad it's not on the album!
