Anyone else watched? I do prefer True Blood, seems more mature, but I liked this one too.
The pilot was one good surprise, for me. I enjoyed the way that they created vampires, the dark eyes, the fog.
Hopefully, they'll make a good story as the books.

This was one of the strongest pilots I've seen in awhile...it kept my attention. I also like the Practical Magic location of an old, gothic, New England town. The leads are all good actors too which is a plus, especially for The CW.

It was ok , a PG Vampire series, no real complaints so far.

I've read all the books when I was in middle school unfortunately I missed the premier. hopefully CW doesn't screw it up.

well I hope the elena character hooks up with Damon, I feel like that could be hot...there's a definite Bill/Eric set-up...this show felt more PG-13 True Blood than Twilight the TV series.

And it seemed to me as a mix between Twilight and True Blood.

the books pre-date True Blood and the Twilight. i don't think I'm gonna watch however. from what I've googled they've changed a lot.

There are so many vampire series now... Twilight, True Blood, now Vampire Diaries... and I've heard there'll be a new one later.
Vampires and blood really sell.

They showed it again tonight so I watched & I liked it. I'll watch it again.

The CW is showing the 1st episodes of Vampire Diaries & Melrose Place again on Sunday night if you didn't catch them the first time & want to watch.
