This Birkin Doesnt Seem Right

Birkin on Ebay

Something doesnt seem right about this birkin. The inside doesnt look like the inside of my mother's birkins and the picture is always of the side without the little clasp.

The pictures that do show the clasp look different and are taken in a different place.

Plus the page is plastered with magazine cut outs

Any Birkin experts out there?

Not that I intend on buying it, but if it is a fake then maybe someone should stop the person who is about to pay $28,959 for it.

I think the shape is odd and I don't think the pictures coincide however the starting bid was 28,000 and nobody has bid on it yet. Why buy off ebay when you can get the real thing for cheaper? Plus, the waiting lists aren't always 2 years.

However, I am wondering why the seller ended the auction early due to an "error" ...

Probably about half the 28k they are asking. Depending on the color, type of croc, etc. you are looking at anywhere between $10,000 and $20,000.


Also a comment on the whole why buy on Ebay thing. I never understood it, that 2+ year waitlist thing is a rummor. Normally the stores get some in to sell to the floor quite often. My mother got all three of hers (which are now sold) with no more than a month wait, it is really silly to pay a huge over-charge for something that isnt as hard to get as people think.

I already have a black one, but I want to get another one and I can't even get on the list! Every store I try tells me their list is closed and won't open again for at least 6 months. So, I understand why people would buy on ebay, although it is a big risk since there are so many fakes out there.

Sometimes during searches your item might not appear so ebay suggests you close your auctiona and re list...but anyhow that is a crazy price for a freakin bag... you can buy a car for that much... lol

I don't know a thing about the Birkin bag, but I just wanted to say that the page made for the auction is a freakin' disaster. Sorry, but 48-point font does not look professional, and screams tacky, which isn't the image you're going for if you're trying to sell a handbad for $28,000.

I'm not familiar with Ebay. I thought someone had actually bid that much.

I guess it looks different from the ones my mothers has because it it the croc lether one. Hers arent croc leather.
