I've only heard of threading the eyebrows... wow... the upper lip would be extremely painful... I didn't even know it was possible to get those fine hairs above the lip with threading.
I would imagine the threading on the lip would be a little more painful than the eyebrows because the skin is a bit more sensitive.
I wouldn't say it will cause discoloration but the skin underneath the hair being removed will be a little lighter since it was coverd by hair. That's my take on it.
And threading is MUCH MORE better than waxing imo.
It was painful, tears were running down my cheeks non stop, it was burning and when it was done and I looked in the mirror and it looked like someone had punched me, that's how red and swollen it got.
Get a wax, trust me on this one
do u hav to be a certain age to get it waxed?? im 13 and i already shave mine,i h8 doing it and i dont know how i started but i would be really embarressed to go and hav 1 dun at the age of 13
is there any benefit to threading over waxing? Ive honestly never had either done to my eyebrows(bc for the most part they are more than manageable). Out of laziness I'd like to change that, but I'm terrified of breaking out from waxing. Maybe I'm a lil paranoid, but I think i'd rather have hair over pimples.

Laura I went to get mine waxed at 13, don't worry it's perfectly normal. I was embarassed at first but then I realised that heaps of people went to get it done. You don't have to be a certain age either..sometimes 11 yrolds or younger get it done..when they hav really black hair.
