Major makeup trend for summer: beautiful luminous skin.

The look is achieved using makeup containing light reflecting
elements. The result is young and fresh makeup. A relief
after all those cold winter months were skin was left dull and
dry.

A touch of highlight on the cheekbones, nose bridge, along
the upper lip, forehead and below the brows.... voila!

i think people with oily skin need to approach this look with caution! - looking like an oil slick is never nice; personally i think only people with dry skin should put highlighter on their forehead and bridge of nose, and oily ladies maybe stick with brow bone and collar bones.

Just a word to dry skinned ladies out there - this look is possible! i thought my skin would always look dull and flat but with a lot of product, i manage a glowy look (that i usually only get in the summer when i am bathed in greasy sunblock and sweat :p)

Personally i've got super dry skin so to achieve this look i just apply my moisturizer, then my luminosity skin serum, then apply a highlighter all over my face (currently using bodyshop 'tinted glow enhancer' but have used revlon skin lights or benefit's moonbeam in the same way) - literally, ALL over my face, just like my moisturizer - then apply tinted moisturizer and use a highlighting gloss once i've put the rest of my makeup (eyeshadow, blush etc) on.

After all that, my skin comes out looking like the Jill Sander models in the pic above - not exactly super shiny but a nice little glow :)

I have a white/cream translucent shimmery
eyeshadow compact from Clinique that I use
as a highlighter.

It's very natural. I dab it in the inner corner
of my eye, below my brows and I instantly
look more "awake".

I think it helps to spray whatever toner on after putting on makeup. I use Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner or Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
I have even skin, so I skip the highlighters exept for the cheekbones (only over rosy blush, prefereably Becca Lip and Cheek Creme) and maybe the brow bone too. I use the MAC MSF duo from last year:

Mixing the two shades looks really neat ^_^ And not too shimmery...I'd love to buy it again, but of course it was limited edition...

^ That looks awesome.

I going on a hunt for some touche eclat
today.

I love luminous skin, wish I could master it up. Would like to see more looks to get inspired :)
