Tom Ford F/W 2021.22 by Tom Ford & Richard Burbridge

Everything looks extremely cheap and I’ve never liked Tom Ford anyway, not for a particular reason, just have always found his clothes too much “out there”.

Wow this doesnt look good at all. They look more like outtakes and that last shot is rather cheap!

I will give him a pass because he is one of my favorite and because the collection was good (the velvet puffer jacket) but his two campaigns for 2021 were lackluster.

I hate brand being inconsistent with their campaigns. I enjoyed when he shot his menswear back in the day. It wasn’t groundbreaking but it had attitude with a great cast. Even some of his womenswear shot by him were great.

He should keep working with Klein (as my dream to see him reunite with Meisel doesn’t seem possible). He has delivered great iconic campaigns for his brand.

This is the social media « campaign » actually.
The main campaign are always styled by Carine or when he uses the lookbook, his team.

Kind of weird for him to use Ethan for this…

I suppose this Meisel shoe campaign from 1988 was on the mood board? EJG's scope of reference doesn't seem to go beyond Steven Meisel and David Armstrong and it's getting tired at this point.

Also, I'm with everyone else here. Tom really needs to get back to working consistently with Klein or Meisel for his campaigns, because they have been all over the place for years now. We need some good old fashioned tacky sex appeal and glamour or at least some consistency when it comes to the visuals for this brand.

That’s actually the most effort a Tom Ford campaign image has ever made in a long time LOL But such a hyped mediocre-at-best lesser as Ethan can’t conjure that brand of unabashed, unashamed and cheesy decadence that someone like Terry is so effortlessly great at. Tom’s brand of old-money flamboyance needs to be skillfully balanced with a good dose of hammy fun. When his designs are presented as serious, straightup sexy by a lesser— it’s just, yes… cheap. And that the designs of the products have become more and more veering to the side of unintentional tackiness doesn’t help: Pink pumps and a pink watch is the territory of JLo/Mariah/Britney QVC fodder.

(Not sure about Klein anymore, Lola. He seems devoid of any clever, witty, naughty humour that Tom’s brand desperately relies on— not to mention he gives me the creeps nowadays with his fascination of male models and horses…I'll leave it at that. If Tom insists on doing serious sexy, then maybe it’s high time he hires Fabien + Karl to selvedge his moldy campaign image. Not a fan of Meisel these days unless he’s teamed with Fabien + Karl-- where at least he's pushed to make an effort.)

I like a lot the full body shots of the Men’s campaign (the full white outfit is gorgeous) but the Women’s are so mediocre!

for someone with such an exquisite taste and such attention to detail, I can’t believe Tom said ‘yes’ to this.

All I know is that Klein delivered 2 great campaigns for Tom Ford. Spring 2018 and Fall 2019 were beyond…

I&V failed terribly. SS 2015 is one of my favorite collection Tom did for his own brand and the campaign is maybe his worst ever (of his entire career). Sorrenti wasn’t memorable and M&M were inconsistent (fabulous for the fragrances and a bit overdone for the fashion).

My favorite campaign was the one by Marylin Minter and the simple ones he did when fashion was still a dream. The campaign with Karen Elson was simple and striking.

I would say Mikael Jansson and not Baron and Templer. They are very slick but they can be very cold in their approach…

Meisel is just a fantasy. The campaigns they did at YSL were great. The same with Glen L.
But the failure of I&V proved that it’s never good to try to recreate the past.

I am always in love with Tom Ford.

ugh even the homophobic D&G is more relevant than Tom now. Wake up!
