Sabato De Sarno - Designer, Creative Director of Gucci

Karl even at his lowest was miles better than Virginie. He could be experimental, artistic and commercial, he had the range and skill. When you create hundreds of collections, there will always be few that are weaker.

It's not comparable. Chanel is a brand that will always sell well. Even Sabato with his department store sensibility would make good numbers at Chanel.

For me, you are successful at Chanel if you manage to create a moment, something memorable. Virginie couldn't do that.
we can agree to disagree on all above :-)
KL did some ugly things as much as VV pieces or collections both.

VV i literally wrote she respectfully did what she could means: Kl creativity and aura etc is superior as a creative and its not even about comparing..... they both were creative directors at Chanel with different type of success no matter how we see it as what is more valuable as success its the fact they both had success in their own ways at Chanel.

Ancora cant make good nummers not even at Zara that hoe bland and pint less his design is.

Chanel did not always sell well they had bad years with KL as well (even when numbers were 100% private and currently i know the have some issues with sales numbers as well following to many price increases.

no brand is bullet proof, that's why they took their time to find a Creative Director time is ticking on what has been built so far wont last with out new ideas or vision to feed the machine.

even hermes has issues and reliance on selling other less wanted product to get quota bags offers ,

all factual stuff knowing from people working inside these companies.

the gloss on the outside always hides cracks underneath. (with in these brands)

I've found this interview while exploring this website from Loic Prigent...increidble the amount of nothing that he says lol like this "gems":

M: You're always dancing.
SDS:
I'm always, I love dancing. The music is a central part of my creative process, and one of the most important moments to me during the preparation of the show is spending time with Mark Ronson and dreaming about the music of the show. We chat about things and we select music together. We give them a new vibe, a new rhythm, in order to make them more contemporary and more right for the show. In this show, I use a song from Corona Seat. It said many words that I like. One is a reset. I'm sure the people think reset is like first shot, old Gucci. It does not mean that to me. It's just something that I love. It was a song that I would dance to when I was 20, 22. It's a very old song. And now I have the opportunity to have this song for my show, that's why I chose it. But I know the journalists, maybe they create a storytelling on this song because the people love storytelling. I hate storytelling. No, I don't like storytelling.

M: What are the starting points of the collection?
SDS:
The starting point is, the clothes. Every single piece is very curated. Every single outfit has all the things that I like together. The colors, it was one thing that I wanted to work. I like black, and in this collection, I used a lot of colors that usually I don't like, but it was very interesting to play with the colors. And create an outfit, a mix of them that I love now. Now I love it

Unzip the lip! Hahahaa

Honestly it’s not surprise the part where he says that he doesn’t like storytelling, and we have seen he is limited in that too…but he talk too much about product and deliver nothing, promise too much about clothes and we’ve seen what he delivers…

Valentino just seems to full of designers who are dumb as f*ck (Sabato and PPP) or bland as f*ck (MGC).
