Tom Ford S/S 2026 Paris

While I appreciate the turn-of-the-millennium glamour of it (in a way it reminds me of the brief Slimane/Elbaz era at YSL) and acknowledge that it's more cogent than his TF debut + one of the top shows this season, I'm still not obsessed with it.
As everyone pointed out, the "soundtrack" was insufferable, the styling choices were taking away from the sleekness at times (no guy wearing a leather jockstrap is going to/should pair it with ultra-flat soft loafers and no see-through slip dress needs a cable knit sweater on top), but maybe more than anything, I'd like a bit more separation from his previous work. The colors he used here are virtually those of his Gaultier couture, and many of the silhouettes we already know well from his namesake line, whether it's the slinky chest-baring dresses or the scarfy top+full pant looks for guys. Obviously, all designers have their signature pieces/tricks, but I still want Haider to adapt his more specifically to the Tom Ford brand.
I liked the colored eyewear, the blonde buzzcut + shorts combo on the boys and Haider's careful use of lace and satin, fabrics that can otherwise turn tacky quite easily.. then again, I hope he starts playing with that very tackiness soon, or at least before TF starts feeling too cold and distant for a house founded by a gay Texan who took fashion by storm, and then left it for Hollywood more than once.

Fully agree. I also find that aforementioned color palette -- the orange, the lime green, the turquoise -- to be not very luxurious-looking. And people have mentioned some of those transparent/thong dresses looking very Mugler, and they also reminded of Mugler...by Formichetti.

Also, just thought of what the soundtrack reminds me of...

Tilda has her own brand of heat. Why not ? I let you have the MGC vs JWA at Dior, but no Haider or Tilda slander is allowed right now when this collection is this hot. 😛

My thighs are coming out SS 2026. Be ready !
okay, let me get technical here.
These little shorts are too tight, so in order to fit all the "accessories" there, they have to be low enough, so they will make your thighs and legs look shorter than they actually are. The proportion will be off.
As much as I hate the new Dior, the men's shorts with all the volume make your legs look longer and more attractive.
I am not Tilda Swinton so take my view with many grains of salt ;)

I wasn't that convinced with his debut show but this is way more convincing, although the show did feel slightly caricature-esque at moments and the soundtrack grated pretty quickly. On the flip side you could say that the fact Haider out an effort into creating a proper show/fantasy in this day and age is admirable.

There are things I don't care for but generally speaking this is the ideal merge between Haider's work for his namesake brand and Tom's codes. The leather jackets worn over a traditional suit and the deep blue Armani coded looks on Scott and Erin were particularly luxurious.

A less drab campaign and a slightly different vibe for next season are the next steps for me to see if HA can slowly develop successfully from here.

That's quite the humble brag  ; I need more room for my package !!!
Please Haider think of us, the crotch-gifted.

I get it, however I'm 187 cm tall and leggy so it's ok. It'll balance me out. 😂

The only new CD appointment designing for men and women who is not afraid of embracing SEX. The men are masculine. The women are seductive. None of that Gen Z juvenile preteen sexless nonsense by the new crop of designers that is plaguing all the fashion houses right now.

Haider, thank you for making clothes that are seductive, alluring, and incredibly desirable for grown ups.

That sound made me feel sick 🙁 The whole thing kinda reminds me of that movie "Neon Demon". The "edgy" sorority girls are gonna eat this up so hard.

I could not watch the show the sountrack was HORRIFIC , it was giving me palpitations . Whoever thought this was a great idea , I want to shove my foot up their a$$
That being said it was easily one of the best shows of the season. Beautiful pantsuits, but for the love of God pick a sountrack which does not induce seizures
