That was shown on BBC after Richard II yesterday. I was slightly disappointed that they only showed the action, serious parts of the play and not the funny moments but it looks so good.
I watched the end and I wasn't too into it but I think I need to watch it from the start to fully appreciate it. Did anyone watch the Henry documentary after? It had an interview with Tom and tons of clips from the next two plays. Posted via Mobile Device
I'm finding that it lags when it leaves Hotspur or Henry IV which I didn't expect as I found that those scenes dragged when I read the play. I think Henry V will be Tom's time to shine though. On the whole I much prefer Richard II as it was a braver adaptation and a braver performance from Ben Whishaw. Posted via Mobile Device
^^Well, that's good to hear. I adore Whishaw. I'm searching now for a link, but if someone wouldn't mind directing me to one for Richard, I would be extremely grateful. Alvedansen already helped me out with Henry! I'm super excited for both of these. So many awesome actors. Ugh.
I agree, Alvedansen, it was more "alive" but I highly enjoyed his transformation from irresponsible prince Hal to a newly crowned ruler with authority. He must have been an impressive sight, being so tall and all.
