Benedict Cumberbatch gives a sultry stare on the cover of T, The New York Times Style Magazine‘s latest issue.
Here’s what the 37-year-old actor had to share with the mag:
On what he says to fans who love Sherlock: “I always make it clear that people who become obsessed with him or the idea of him — he’d destroy you. He is an absolute bastard.”
On avoiding stopping to talk to fans: “If you pick a point far behind them they perceive you as not seeing them, and you’re the obstacle they have to get around. There is a way of just shadowing through. The higher the walls, the more dark the windows, the bigger the sunglasses — the more people are going to look. The greatest disguise is learning how to be invisible in plain sight.”
On playing a series of very smart characters: “I am so ready to play a really dumb character.”

Benedict Cumberbatch suits up as the host for the 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards held at the Istana Budaya Theatre on Wednesday (March 26) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The 37-year-old actor was joined at the big event by Jamie Foxx and Daniel Bruhl.
It was just announced that Benedict has joined the cast of Hamlet in the title role Barbican Theatre in London, the BBC reports. Benedict will star in the play from August to October 2015.
“It’s a role I’ve been interested in for a long time,” Benedict told the Daily Telegraph in 2012 about the show. “I don’t know if there is such a thing as a right age to play the part, but 36 or 37 seems appropriate to me.”
