Great knitwear designer from NY. There's a mention of him in indie designer's thread but I thought it'd be perfect to have a special thread on his work.

I really like his stuff, I think he does some very intresting things.

According to the website you can only get his stuff from the U.S. and Japan, it's a shame. He has some lovely pieces.

scott, it's nice stuff. makes me wish i had majored in textiles!

^yeah it's really lovely...I want one of those sculpted flouncy scarves....and that cool red neck-piece...yummy!

I'll admit,it is a bit close in the same vein as Preen but it's really good especially since his craft is mostly knitwear.

very nice, thanks scott, i remember it from the indie thread. makes me want to rework some old scarves...

travolta, maybe you still could?:D

I really like Tom Scott. Thanks for starting this thread, Scott! :flower:
The pieces look great on, very striking but not too loud.

^you're welcome :flower: I thought of your post from the rocket site then noticed his web site on Hint...really brilliant pieces when I looked at everything.

I think the last one in Post 3 is so pretty, too

He really does interesting thing with knits

Beautiful stuff scott! thanks for posting, I absolutely adore the structure in this type of knitwear, very inspiring.

That's my current thought, which area to specialise in...textiles or fashion, and it's stuff like this knitwear that veers me toward the textile area...

^it's certainly an area not touched upon very often in fashion. One has the ability to learn different stitch patterns....it's a very complex craft and far beyond granny's scarf. Although,I do like that approach too ;) And the textures... oh how I adore texture

don't necessarily take my advice, but i found that the textile students were doing much more interesting stuff. if you are interested in knitwear in fashion, then i'd suggest textiles. ;)
