Toni Garrn ist 16 Jahre und schon im Mode-Olymp, hat aber kein Mitleid mit Mädchen, die sich durch TV-Castings quälen. Ob auch sie manchmal Türen knallt? FOCUS Online fragte nach.
Toni Garrn hat zuletzt eine beachtliche Erfolgsstory hingelegt. Sie wurde im Sommer 2006 in Hamburg auf offener Straße gecastet, ein Jahr später lief sie erste große Modenschauen, und seit März 2008 ist sie das neue Calvin-Klein-Gesicht.
FOCUS Online: Es ging für Sie in Riesenschritten bergauf, manchmal Mitleid mit den Mädchen, die sich in TV-Castings beweisen müssen?
Garrn: Wieso denn? Die sind doch alle freiwillig da.
FOCUS Online: Heidi Klum kaufte sich nach ihrem ersten großen Job als Model eine Rolex. Haben Sie sich auch schon einen Wunsch erfüllt?
Garrn: Das Ganze, was in den letzten eineinhalb Jahren passierte, war ja schon eine Belohnung. Nein, bis jetzt habe ich mir noch nichts Größeres von den Gagen gekauft. Ich bin eigentlich eher sparsam.
FOCUS Online: Was war der Höhepunkt in Ihrem bisherigen Modelleben?
Garrn: Das war New York, die Fashion Week. Da sind sie alle versammelt. Hollywood-Schauspieler und Musikstars sitzen im Publikum. Die wichtigsten Leute der Branche sieht man hinter der Bühne und in den Castings. Die bekanntesten Models laufen herum. Ich habe Liv Tyler getroffen Da schwirrt einem ganz schön der Kopf. Die Stadt selbst werde ich erst noch erkunden, wenn ich mal rein privat da bin und ein bisschen mehr Zeit habe, mir alles anzugucken.
FOCUS Online: Welche Figur in der Modewelt würden Sie unbedingt kennen lernen wollen?
Garrn: Yves Saint Laurent. Ich habe viel über ihn gelesen. Er war wohl der absolut einflussreichste Designer seiner Zeit und außerdem ziemlich crazy. Leider wird das nichts mehr, weil er schon abgetreten ist. Aber es wäre bestimmt richtig interessant gewesen.
FOCUS Online: Vielleicht macht er ja für einen neuen Superstar eine Ausnahme. Calvin-Klein-Gesicht zu sein, gilt schon als Krönung im Mode-Geschäft. Was soll jetzt noch kommen?
Garrn: Ein bisschen mehr geht immer.
FOCUS Online: Wie kommt man sich als international gefragtes Topmodel auf der Schulbank vor?
Garrn: In der Schule müssen wir alle dieselben Matheaufgaben lösen. Da nützt Dir so etwas leider gar nichts
FOCUS Online: Sie wirken recht keck für eine 16-Jährige, nicht so wie die aufgeregten Nachwuchsmodels bei Klum. Gibt es sie denn gar nicht, die Toni Garrn, die Türen knallt?
Garrn: Hahaha, fragen Sie da mal meine Mutter.
FOCUS Online: Das Topmodel Toni Garrn spricht also nicht so gern über das Hamburger Mädchen Toni Garrn. Dann eben wieder zum Business. Was läuft anders bei großen Shootings, als Sie es sich vorgestellt haben?
Garrn: Es sind sehr viele Leute beteiligt. Und es wird doch sehr, sehr viel mehr vorher darüber nachgedacht, was zu tun ist. Ich dachte immer, die Klamotten liegen da rum, und man knipst einfach los und guckt dann, wie es wird. Aber es steht schon vor dem Shooting fest, wohin es gehen soll.
FOCUS Online: Auf vielen Ihrer Bilder scheint Ihr Blick geheimnisvoll entrückt. An was denken Sie, wenn Sie einem Fotografen solch einen Gefallen erweisen?
Garrn: Das bleibt mein spezielles Toni-Geheimnis.

Garrn: The whole what happened during the last one and a half years was already a reward. No, till present I have still bought to myself nothing bigger from the fees. I am actually rather sparing.

Garrn: This was New York, the Fashion Week. There they all are gathered. Hollywood actors and music stars sit in the audience. One sees the most important people of the branch behind the stage and in the castings. The best known models walk around. I have met Liv Tyler There nicely whirrs to quite the head. I will only still explore the town when I am there sometimes purely privately and have some more time to look at everything to me.

Garrn: Yves Saint Laurent. I have read a lot about him. He was probably the absolutely most high-powered designer of his time and, moreover, quite crazy. Unfortunately, this becomes nothing more because he has already resigned. But it would have been really interesting certainly.
FOCUS on-line: Maybe he makes for a new superstar an exception. To be a Calvin Klein face, is valid already as a coronation in the fashion house. What should come yet?
Garrn: A little bit more always goes.
FOCUS on-line: How does one believe himself as an internationally asked top model on the school desk?
Garrn: At school we must solve all same math duties. It doesnt help you anyway.
UNFORTUNATELY FOCUS nothing at all: you are rather perky for a 16-year-old, not as well as the excited growing models with Klum. Is there no toni Garrn which bangs doors?
Garrn: Hahaha, for that better ask my mother.
FOCUS on-line: The top model Toni Garrn does not speak so with pleasure of the hamburger girl Toni Garrn. Then just again back to the business. What runs differently with big Shootings than you have fancied it?
Garrn: A lot of people are involved. And, nevertheless, it becomes very much, even more before about that thought what is to be done. I always thought, the things lie about there, and one takes pictures simply get rid and then watches how it becomes. But it is already certain before the Shooting where it should go.
