She was so good in Casino!!!This thread is making me curious to see Basic Instinct. As of now, the quintessential Sharon Stone performance, for me, is in Casino.

No ma’am. Though I know it’s well liked, I always assumed it was because of *that* scene and just for the straights. I didn’t realize it was actually a good movie.
As a bisexual man, who have experienced sex with both men and women, I always remember that scene as a teenager, and now in my thirties, that scene is still a turn-on, probably the most memorable scene in films as far as I could remember, and Sharon Stone is the kind of femme fatale i am fascinated with.No ma’am. I always have a soft spot for Tony Duquette's house, no matter how many times it's been used as the backdrop in fashion editorials down the years - although you don't see much of it here, and what you do see makes it seem a bit tame.
Malgosia's cover story for Vogue Italia June 2000 lets you see more of the place - or how it was, twenty years ago.
I think her scenes in the show Ratched are mostly all filmed in this house and in the gardens, it looks gorgeous and exotic onscreen.
I only started watching it last night, and that house is astounding. Sharon's voice is still astounding!
Rest of the series is a bit of a bore for me. Too glossy and saccharine, and they went overboard with the set design of the sanitarium, which in a way is of course very American.
I love that they went so over the top with the set design and art direction because the story is kind of a mess, as nearly all things Ryan Murphy are. This plot without the eye candy? No thanks. I haven’t finished it yet, but so far here are the highlights for me: Judy Davis (honestly, I think she deserves an Emmy), Duquette’s Dawnridge, Dr. Hanover’s office, and Corey Stoll in a wifebeater.
