No ma’am. Though I know it’s well liked, I always assumed it was because of *that* scene and just for the straights. I didn’t realize it was actually a good movie.

Basic Instinct is the quintessential Sharon Stone performance.
She was a good supporting player in Martin Scorsese's film.

Yeah, no. That scene is actually entirely gratuitous imo. It didn't make or break the movie.
I don't know what happened to her career though. And I don't Ratched will be a 'comeback' for her.

As a bisexual man, who have experienced sex with both men and women, I always remember that scene as a teenager, and now in my thirties, that scene is still a turn-on, probably the most memorable scene in films as far as I could remember, and Sharon Stone is the kind of femme fatale i am fascinated with.

I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t like this cover. Really weird retouching.

Extremely refreshing to see a women over the age of 60, all smiles on the cover of a mainstream 'fashion' magazine. Always been a fan of Sharon Stone and think she always photographs brilliantly - especially here surrounded by those vibrant colours and wild surroundings. Nice one, Town & Country!

I think her scenes in the show Ratched are mostly all filmed in this house and in the gardens, it looks gorgeous and exotic onscreen.

I only started watching it last night, and that house is astounding. Sharon's voice is still astounding!
Rest of the series is a bit of a bore for me. Too glossy and saccharine, and they went overboard with the set design of the sanitarium, which in a way is of course very American.

I love that they went so over the top with the set design and art direction because the story is kind of a mess, as nearly all things Ryan Murphy are. This plot without the eye candy? No thanks. I haven’t finished it yet, but so far here are the highlights for me: Judy Davis (honestly, I think she deserves an Emmy), Duquette’s Dawnridge, Dr. Hanover’s office, and Corey Stoll in a wifebeater.

LOL, agreed about the eye candy, it's actually comical. All tall, buff and with broad shoulders. The priests are hot, the porters are hot, the reporters are hot, 'Salvatore' who is supposed to be in the midst of a mental breakdown and tops himself is hot. Who on earth did the casting? LOL!

Agreed about Judy Davis who in general is quite underrated. I do still see Hedda Hopper with her performance in this show, especially the campy bits, lol.

The priests all looking that good immediately struck me. Haha.. If the priests I’d encountered in all my years in Catholic boarding school and my 11 years as an altar boy had looked like *that*, it’s safe to say my childhood would’ve been much more enjoyable.
