Travel Guide : London

All I know is the Gate bar, near Notting Hill Gate, not as cool as it was on AbFab...It's a restaurant too..

I went clubbing from age 12 in London
Just depends how old you look.
There are under 18 clubs but they are usually nasty :( - excpet the white feather ball but that is in december.

/\I love that place great food! I like Covent Garden, Portabellow Market, Camden and Bond Street!

Just got back..loved Harrods, Selfridges, Bond street, Oxford street, Soho...

Covent Garden at night time is fun, lots of bikers on Harleys! Portobello was amazing, got an origional Harley Davidson belt for £10. ( I have a harley obsession) Also found a great shop called octopus that sold really cute gadgets. Got 2 vintage ciggarette cases yay.

The whole place is really beautiful at night, although a pigeon did land on my head! I HATE them!

Pineal Eye is definitely not closing down. It's got some new stock in, I just went two days ago. These are a only a few of my London boutique reccomendations (I tried not to name too many obvious ones....coz I really want ppl to check out these hidden gems!:(

Souvenir on Brewer Street and Lexington Street - Stocks Westwood, Cacharel, Ashish, PPQ, Jessica Ogden, Hussein Chalayan and Martine Sitbon...and the shops are really lovely to shop in. http://www.souvenirboutique.co.uk/

The World According To....... on 4 Brewer Street - Tiny basement store that stocks Silas and is the only Eley Kishimoto Ellesse stockist in London, I think. The guy that owns the place is also fabulous.

Start on Rivington Street (Hoxton) - A mini cool department store spread over two stores - Lots of Rick Owens, Helmut Lang and Miu Miu. There's a personal tailoring service in menswear too! Nearby is the Hoxton Boutique which has become a bit of a cliche shop to visit but still stocks some great things.

No-One on Kingsland Road (Hoxton) - Nice cafe/shop. Selection of vintage shoes, lots of nifty gifts and clothes by PPQ and other upcoing British designers. http://www.no-one.co.uk/

Diverse on Upper Street (Islington) - Great North London boutique. Two floors of Chloe, Missoni, Marc Jacobs and other more conventional labels. Lovely layout and wicked storefront.

b-Store on Conduit Street (Mayfair)
Fantastic place for Bernhard Willhelm, Karen Walker and Peter Jense for both men and women. The Buddhahood shoes are also really cool, really unusual shapes and perfect for matching with any of the advant garde labels that this store stocks.

I love Souvenir!! I was just telling Utopia about this shop the other day. The girls there are so lovely, really really amazing customer service!

Thanks for the rest of the suggestions susie! I will have to check them out...I admit that I tend to get in a bit of a rut and visit the same stores over and over again.

Yeah, they are super nice!

When you say London by way of North America, I'm assuming you mean Canada right?

Just a hunch. When ppl make a point of saying North America, I take it that they don't want to be associated with the nether regions of the USA.

hahaha no no I like the states. I usually just state North America because sometimes the states and canada are quite similar and things that are typical of the states are typical of Canada so I say something is quite 'north american'. It's just easier that way

Brixton Market - you can get anything under the sun in that place
