well boyfriend jeans vary in leg and rise, but generally loose fitting ie antithesis of skinny jeans.

My friend works in the industry and he gave me some ideas of what's next in fashion: Its going to be Big on top and small on bottom , which means we are going to be looking at flamboyant shirts maybe even those ugly pads from the 80s hahah that's the only thing I hate about that era. Also, we will be seeing more of like giraffe (brown and yellow)and zebra patterns

i like voluminious tops with small tops such as skinny jeans..
sholder pads.. well if they are well done, not all crazy like in the 80s.
what becomes to animal prints... they are usually there for one season, then people get bored..

i don't know about what the experts are saying but i have this fab oversized army jacket that's meant for a boy with a huge painted chandelier and glass 'crystals' dangling from it that i got a few seasons ago and there's something in the air that's makes me feel that it's time to bring it out next summer....

with a denim mini and flat suede boots

and rem balenciaga had these cargo pants that were all the rage a few seasons back? phoebe philo also wore similar baggy cargo pants and strappy heels around the same time? i don't know why but that feels fresh to me again......

mulletproof, the reworked asian trend is a bit on the Dries mood, but more modern and minimal

the 'oversized tops / fitted bottoms' trend has been around for a few seasons now but its still strong, best translated through the layering tricks

as for the early 90's direction and the strong monochromes they are supposed to grow huge, lets wait and see

people should watch movie pret-a-porter (a.k.a.) ready to wear .. its from 94 and it has actual fashion shows from paris capturing really well the 90s feel and look... i like that movie a lot

I think i was getting confused a bit earlier

i thought next year would have more hideous 80s fashion, thats just 2005 and 2006 , 2007 will be a move to a more grungy clothes and layering as spear headed by marc jacobs, so whatver was in fashion 92-94 will be making a return . I see that happening with chunky *** shoes and leggings ( i associate the 90s more with leggings for some reason...80s skinny jeans) ,also the fact that higher waisted wide leg boyfriend jeans ( very early 90s) is coming back is very good hint...that come 2007 its going to be all early 90s.

i dont know if the boyfriend jeans are wide leg (as in bellbottom) but more like the levis 501 fit (lose + straight leg). thats very 90s and screams elementary school times to me in the 90s, levis 501 was a must!
layering yes.. i wonder if doc martins and plaid is gonna be big. also dark colors such as pine green and burgundy is very early 90s. barets and what else..

between 91-94 , all the COOL guys and girls use to wear wide leg trouser jeans ,esp in toronto , ALL of em it was insane, that loose 501 style was more 88-90 but i also wore that around that time (91-95) ,but to be "cool", you had to wear "bags " as they were called in my HS , and you would wear it with sports logo shirt like Miami hurricanes or Wolverines , also animaniac shirts gone wrong haha....and funk hats ! Girls wore their bags with bodysuits (another trend which has come back)
Also boyfriend jeans of now , have a wideleg go to www.ae.com , they have them ! Also if you go to topshop , they have finally said on their website they are ditching skinny jeans for slouchy wide leg jeans, bell bottoms i dont like , the look of wide leg jeans is dfferent they are straight and wide ( not too wide , not rave pants wide , those look ridiculous)

yeah , the loose actually they were 557s baggy and straight ,but I remember the grunge rockers , would wear 501s with plaidshirts and LOADS of layering with docs ( i had black ones). Too see 90s teen fashion , just watch old episodes of boy meets world or friends. haha

flares tookover in 1996 , that i remember very well and stayed till 2006 and i dont see signs of them going , because they flatter really well. Already fashionistas are declaring the poor skinny dead for 2007, but im still going to wear mine with boots into winter. OH well , bring on the next denim shape! Boyfriend jeans

as long as they are not bellbottoms, anything goes i suppose. i still love my skinny jeans and im getting more and more to the high wasted pants and skirts.

i used to also wear levis 501, plaid shirt and doc martin look alikes (we call them army boots or landing boots, hard to explain). and then some peace sign big necklases and ear rings, round colored sun glasses (john lennon style). oh gosh and then we wrote stuff on our jeans. good old times..

but i do like the layering and strong materials that were in the high fashion of early 90s.

and i like also the body suits with jeans look. i know im weird..
