True Blood

Evan Rachel Wood has joined HBO’s hit vampire series True Blood for two episodes, reports EW.
The 21-year-old actress, who recently got back together with Marilyn Manson, was tapped by True Blood creator Alan Ball. She’ll be playing Sophie-Anne, the 500-year-old vampire Queen of Louisiana who is charming, wily, ruthless and wise.
Evan’s episodes will air towards the end of the show’s upcoming second season. No word on the renewal of season three just yet.

 although i have nothing against evan, she's NOTHING like i had imagined the queen to look like. i can't really remember how she was described (age-wise) but i imagined her older and...i don't know, more well, just queen-like:lol:

Sophie-Anne was 15 when she was turned into a vampire. I like Evan; wonder who´s gonna play Andre...

i truly dislike Wood so i don't know if i'll like the two episode
anyways june is too farrr

*hopes HBO will leak some eps*

Evan is perfect and what a coup for them getting such an accomplished actress on the show. Sorry to the Paquin fans but she did not deserve that Golden Globe, that accent is horrifying.

I'm glad to hear that she could be back for a season 3.

I think Evan is suited for this role aswell, it could really turn out well. But LUXX i disagree, i think Annas accent is great, and she deserved the GG. :p

I just think her accent and most of the others are so campy...but that's why I love the show. LOL And also that fact that Lafayette is like Ava Gardner reincarnated as a black gay man. Too perfect for words...

I really do miss this show, and cant wait it to come back, but lol thats a perfect description of Lafayette.

Love the HBO show! I can feel the heat of the South.

Anna Paquin (Sookie) she's a good actress.
Stephen Moyer (Bill) such a sexy vampire.
Ryan Kwanten (Jason) a lot of muscles and no brain
Rutina Wesley (Tara) straight to the point, smart girl. Love her lines, she makes me laugh.
Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) he's so damn funny!
Lois Smith (Adele) such a sweet grandma.

Heads up uk peeps true blood is coming soon to channel4 :buzz:
Channel 4 to air True Blood and Generation Kill
Channel 4 has acquired UK rights for two dramas from US cable network HBO, True Blood and Generation Kill.
True Blood, a 12-part series starring Anna Paquin and British actor Stephen Moyer, is set in the not-too-distant future when vampires can survive on synthetic rather than human blood. Paquin recently won best drama actress in the Golden Globes for her performance in the series.
The creator and executive producer of True Blood is Alan Ball, who created Six Feet Under, while the story is based on the novels of Charlaine Harris.
Channel 4 has also acquired the UK terrestrial rights for Generation Kill, the latest project from David Simon, the creator of The Wire. Generation Kill, which had its UK TV premiere on digital channel FX on Sunday, is a seven-part miniseries from HBO Films that tells the story of the first 40 days of the 2003 Iraq war through the eyes of a group of young US marines. The drama is based on a book by Rolling Stone reporter Evan Wright, who was embedded with a US marine unit during the second Iraq war.
The Channel 4 head of acquisitions, Gill Hay, said both series would find a "natural home" on Channel 4. "We are thrilled to bring more fresh, imaginative and bold US drama to Channel 4 audiences," Hay added.
"True Blood and Generation Kill are examples of HBO programming at its thought-provoking and challenging best."
Both programmes will be broadcast on Channel 4 later in 2009.

HBO is the best ever, really!:innocent:

naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh whatever:rofl:B)

^^ yeah, and I was thinking.. all that sand!

Tonight, I am going to watch the last 2 episodes. I hate that I have to wait till probably somewhere in June :(
Tara Thornton, she has such a big mouth, and she's so angry all the time.. she's one of my favorite characters ^_^
I was laughing out loud when her mom and some churchwoman, wanted her to come to church.
And that bed scene, whith Tara and Sam.. the grunting thing.. Serena Williams? Hilarious!

Thanks so much for posting, very fun preview. Makes me excited about the new season, there seem to be alot of new characthers, i hope its neatly tied with others. The absence of Lafayette is worrying.

^oh thanks for that Alvedansen:flower:
