is she so ~heartbroken~ that turns evil? although i think it'd be interesting and "cool" to have an evil vampire that we actually care about and like i just don't want anything to happen to her and i want her and hoyt to be back together!!!

i just finished the finale. didn't read your comments here of it prior to seeing it.
it was underwhelming.

I actually liked the episode.
Found Eggs to be annoying in the end and glad he's gone...didn't care for his acting.
I didn't mind the queen...she's growing on me.
Jason was great again esp when he made andy think they must have done something right b/c maryann is gone.
I really hope eric is not the one who took bill in the end. i have a feeling b/c of what he said to the queen that he'll take care of bill.

^ agreed. except that i usually like evan rachel wood but she's so wooden as the queen. she looks the part though, and she looks hot with eric.

metro- i completey agree about Eggs. maybe if they would have gotten a better actor i'd be sad over it but I'm glad they didn't elaborate his story with maryanne

In a way I'm happy Maryann was killed early and the show got a little slower and just ended with Bill's kidnapping...because I would've been pissed to have to wait until next summer if it was a really really good cliffhanger! Plus, they needed to focus more on backstories like with Sam and I'm glad someone finally just told Sookie she ain't human! Thank you Maryann!
Even after all of the stuff that happened this season, I was still kinda sad that Maryann got killed. She made life fun, and the fact that she went through all of that for nothing kind of sucks....

Things I liked
-Eggs dying. You just know that there had to be one casualty from the Marianne Storyline. I'm fine with it being Eggs.

-The proposal. Sorry, I'm not a big Bill fan. I don't like how they are messing with the storyline. Please follow the books Alan.

I like the books but I'm very glad that they're not following the books. I know what happens there, this way I'm kept guessing. I also like that the show is it's own entity. From the very start they said they'd follow the books in the begining but then deviate more and more. At this point they seem to be picking and choosing plotlines from the books to incorporate into the show and making up an equal number of original story lines.
I especially like the changes re Bill/Sookie. Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin destroy the "real life couples have no screen chemistry" idea, and I love Bill's slightly odd humor. I like Bill in the books too and I'm sort of rooting for a reunion there as well. I know I'm probably in the minority there.

How long do we have to wait for season 3?
BALL: It’s probably going to premiere around the same time it did this year. We’re going to try to shoot one episode before the Christmas break. I don’t know if HBO will bring the show back earlier, but it certainly won’t be later.
I don't think I can wait that long.

i really didnt notice a true blood thread on here... me bad!
im sooo mad and underwhelmed at the season finale. hands down the worst episode of the show - ever.
(fangirl rant). WTF WHERE IS ERIC. it was the season finale they could've shown him MORE - i dont care if alan says 'there was a good reason to that' i dont want to wait 10 monts to know that.(end of fangirl rant)
im sad this is all we've got and now we'll have to wait million months till a new season...

Ok, they ended the maryann story in the first part but WTF at the second part of the ep? i understand there's hints at what will follow but... really? come on! WHO CARES. or maybe one could care if it was among actual things happening. they basically solved the meanad story in 10 minutes and then had to fill in the remaining 40 minutes. the cliffhanger in the end doesnt really make up for that.
and help me with that, im out of the loop maybe but what's with eric's storyline in the last 2 episodes? makes an agreement with sam, flies away, goes to the queen, stays there, reamins hot but USELESS while doing so?

I was hoping Jason wouldn't be affected by maryann like sookie wasn't and I did not like that they made him a killer.
Eric did look hot in that kissing scene w/ the queen but i agree w/ the post above, he went to get the queens help, but he just stayed there.
