UK Elle October 2008 : Alexa Chung by Karen Collins

I totally agree OhJaneB) She looks better here than I've ever seen her.^_^
Sometimes when I see her on TV she just looks like a real mess.....in horrible shapeless short dresses which make her look like an old matron.:ninja:
She is so pretty and she could look much better IMO.

and I certainly agree with that opinion Northern Star  :woot:

I must be in the minority then, I love the way she "used" to dress!

the fact that alexa can pull off two completely different looks is amazing. i love alexa and i'm so glad elle chose her for the cover girl :)

London Fashion Week is fast approaching. And for the new season, it's not only their catwalk collections that British designers have been fine tuning.

For ELLE's October issue, The London Issue, four British designers have created their ultimate ELLE covers. And while they may not all be showing in the capital, these designers have London spirit through and through.

Luella Bartley, now back showing at London Fashion Week, Giles Deacon, Gareth Pugh, who will be showing in New York this season for the first time, and Matthew Williamson, who has put his label firmly on the fashion map with a move to the tents at Bryant Park in New York, have each created a special limited edition ELLE cover that money can't even buy. Only a few hundred of each will ever be printed, and promise to be future collectors items.

For your chance to win one of five sets of all four covers click here now. And if you want to download your favourite cover as wallpaper for your desktop, click here now.

First: Matthew Williamson & Gareth Pugh
Second: Luella & Giles Deacon

Yes, I like the look of this Alexa - she turns up on TV with shapeless, wispy hair and an interviewing style where she pretends to be an idiot - a deliberately bumbling style - and she's none of those things, she's stunning and smart, and you want to see her really be that.

Maybe girls like her more when she's not being 100% what she could be, maybe she seems easier to relate to.

I quite like the change that has been happening with UK Elle, though I may not be buying it this month (have no idea who Alexa Chung is, sorry)!
