US Bazaar January 2006: Julianne Moore by Peter Lindbergh

oOoOo, I LOVE the cover. The green is so refreshing to look at.

Is Julianne's hair really that red? Or is it dyed?

love, love, love the cover. i only wish her hair wasnt in her face.
But the hair in the face looks so effortless. I don't know who started it but Claudia Schiffer looked like she was hiding a non-existent double chin on a Vogue Spain cover and Carmen Kass was doing something odd with her hair too on her recent German Vogue cover. At least here the hair in her face seems warranted since it even looks like she's trying to keep it away from her face in the wind. I don't think it would have been better without the hair covering her face...it would have been worse, less humoristic and with far less movement.

here ya go, la gant...what's your image source?

Thanks again kimair :D

I just uploaded the image to a web area such as image shack and then inserted the URL to the message. I guess it's a html problem on my end. If I can fix the problem then I can add some more pictures from the mag - if there are any requets

I've got to disagree. If executed well, the obvious is admirable. As in this case with the awesome colors - so deep and right. Also; A real smile that looks like she means it - unlike most celebs. I like it.:flower:
I can't agree with you more.

I do love this cover too. I love that it looks so natural, not too airbrushed like most cover shots.

I see your point, but I still would like the hair to at least cover less of her face. Seeing her smile is genuine by seeing it reflected in her beautiful eyes would have made the cover even more effortless.

I don't know guys. Sure it's better than most Bazaar covers but that isn't saying much. I personally think it's just too much green. It would be a nice accent with the dress and a little bit of green text but it totally feels like some St. Patrick's Day cover. It cheapens what would be a very elegant and fresh accent. It's just overload.

I agree. I love green, but that's definitely overboard.

i also agree theres something very natural about it. Its true the combination of green and red is very obvious but they get away with it because this is not what one expected

red hair, green dress. SO OVERDONE.

redheads look good in other colours than green

I just got my issue in the mail and OMG!! That has to be my absolutely favorite cover, ever! It is stunning; perfect; and just breathtaking.

I believe the opposite, that it is understated and so striking at the same time. Red and green are perfect! My father who is 53 and a professional photographer said, "Wow, that is a gorgeous cover!" when he handed it to me. I agree.:P

I agree with some of the people who said it was too much green. Red hair and green is a bit over done. What about a light turquoise? Anyways, I love Moore on the cover. She looks very beautiful and natural at the same time.

I think the gradiated text should've been left only to the logo... who knows, but at this rate it's just too much a rainbow of green :ninja:

i have to agree with you m-o-m....the type totally ruins the cover...it's not the typography but the color...just crazy green gradients...

aside from that, the photograph is absolutely stunning and julianne looks amazing...definitely one of the best bazaar covers in a long time...

the subscriber version looks better - all the text is gone except for the part on the bottom.
