Her UK Elle March 2025 is a little better, but this whole shoot and certainly this cover select are a bit of a miss, for me.

Love Gaga - excited for the new record!

I like the cover a bit more after seeing it in HQ but it’s not the best shot; I think they could’ve done something more than this. The UK version is stronger with that yellow background but it’s a bit of a strange choice for a cover image - can’t say I like that one much either.

The story is a lot better than the covers. I don’t love all the pictures, but there are some cool ones in there.

You’d think this was for an October issue. So dark and gloomy for a spring month. I’m not a fan and feels like a wasted opportunity. American Elle’s covers were some of the best in the business, and now things have took a very dramatic turn…

Even though February is technically “spring” for the fashion world, I don’t think a gloomy cover is off-track. It’s a gloomy month, perhaps the gloomiest. Let spring start properly in March.

This is underwhelming to say the least, the cover is just not attractive newsstands wise, I can barely notice anything just black textures and her face in the middle, was hoping I can find another cover worthy shot in the editorial, but then again does not feel like a fashion editorial at all. Like vogue 28 mentioned, Elle used to give amazing covers and editorials but lately I'm not feeling it.

I love Lady Gaga. They say every gay guy picks one pop star as their ride-or-die and for me, it's got to be Gaga.

But I hate this cover. I thought it looked a bit off when it first leaked, and each time I see it it seems worse. I cannot imagine commissioning a big shoot for a global cover deal for a major artist to help debut their hotly-anticipated new album/"era" and then not taking a SINGLE image that even looks like it was ever intended to be a cover. I'm sorry but this is horrendous and I fear it does not set a good precedent for LG7.

She deserved better. We deserved better. How they had a global cover star promoting a highly anticipated album and then released an infinitely better digital cover prior to its release is baffling to me. I'm going to need some more promotion from her that looks better than this. Pair her with Knight again!!!
