agreed Rooney's expression does look frozen; some less somber shots of her would help lighten the mood.

It's nice to see some of my favs and not yet completely media saturated names on the editorial team. Samira, Liz, David, Patrick etc. However the Burton and Shaw ads fall flat.

The cover is a nice change of pace for US ELLE. Resembles a more adventurous, foreign ELLE edition counterpart. I see glimpses of UK Bazaar here too.

the typography is very bazaar/vogue-like...
i liked that elle took a different path, but now they all are starting to seem like a run-on sentence...
that being said, rooney's editorial is gorgeous, as is danai's...
