US Harper's Bazaar February 2010 : Miley Cyrus by Peter Lindbergh

the girl who says she will 'destroy Radiohead' should be instantly recycled... remainings locked... and some 10000000000000000000 digit lock up code put on the lockers.... which will be armoured and unreachable...

The subscribers cover is repulsive, I feel sorry for you subscribers. And carrying a guitar? Oh god, it can't get any worse.

my issue goes straight to Ebay... if anyone is going to buy this... why can't they put models on the subscribers' covers as they did last year...

^I really hoped for a model cover too :( I don't want Miley in my mailbox.

She actually looks good on the cover, it's fresh. But she is so f*cking annoying and immature...unfortunately her brain will not grow any further so there's no real use for her to wait to give interviews until she is more mature.

OK. I can explain this cover!

Billy Ray Cyrus has compromising pictures of Glenda Bailey with several male models.

That is the only logical explanation.

Yes...the ONLY explanation...it makes it less unacceptable. God how awful is this.

It looks like friggin Marie-Claire....

There is no model on the cover because a model will not sell as well as a celebrity like Miley Cyrus will. The economy is bad, HB has now combined their June and July issue, can you blame them?

I hate it hate hate hate hate hate hate hate it.... ;-))) And I will hate it even more if they have eds with my favourite models because I will have not choice but to keep this issue... this is not fair... there're so many interesting models and acctresses why this tr*sh?!!!

Oh...

I kind of saw this coming, but I didn't think it would actually come to this. The subscribers cover isn't awful at least.

She looks old for her age. I don't like Miley either. The colors also remind me of the January issue.

Oh I am so so so so not renewing my sub in May.

Glenda is just blah. In her mind she thinks the mag is No1. Even US Elle covers are better and that's saying something.

It's covers like this that make me think "Thank god US Vogue recycles the same cover-actresses over and over again. I rather see Gwyneth Paltrow 5 times than see Miley Cyrus on the cover."

The subscriber's cover shot isn't that bad a photo per se (though it is hella boring), but conceptually it's rather cheap. It reminds me a lot of this scene from the Hannah Montana movie (which I was involuntarily forced to watch as the second in-flight movie of a six-hour return flight), where the Hannah Montana character is forced to go see her family in the countryside, and she's left in the middle of nowhere next to a field, all done up like a pop star with all her pop star things. The blatancy of the reference annoys me to no end, and once again shows exactly who this issue is targeted at.

Surprised to see Miley on the subscriber's cover as well, though. Why on God's good Earth they thought subscribers would expect to get a Miley Cyrus cover in exchange for their money is completely beyond me. I imagine there will be a lot of disappointed and aggravated Harper's Bazaar subscribers this month. But then maybe they didn't have a lot of them to begin with. :innocent:

I'm guessing Arlenis is in this, there's one preview shot over at Request's blog.
