US Harper's Bazaar March 2017 : Rihanna by Mariano Vivanco

Well it's not embarrassing... that's just about the best thing one can say about Bazaar nowadays.

What an eyesore. They could've done so much better with her — as attested to by her past covers which were stunning

And it's so funny that the 150th anniversary is there again... don't tell me they're planning to put in there for the entire year!?

lol I find it funny that every year that pass by, "the collection by CR" becomes smaller and smaller. This year. It feels like they forgot about it and just found a space to add it the last minute

I've always liked Rihanna as a blonde, so I do like the look of this at first glance.

Like last month, the whole cover shoot has been leaked on Instagram before Bazaar has released it on their website. The concept is based around an airfield.. very Cate Blanchett/US Vogue/Annie Leibovitz when she starred in The Aviator.

I don't outright hate it, but cannot say I like it. It's mainly the blonde hair, which I don't think suit her.

My problem is that it looks very 2012. I mean, she already went through this phase, why bring it back?

RIHANNA TAKES FILGHT
Photographer: Mariano Vivanco
Stylist: Mel Ottenberg
Makeup: Francesca Tolot
Hair: Yusef Williams

Why are magazine editors acting like there's only 5 singers, 5 actresses and 5 models that need to be used over and over and over again? Honestly?
I don't like the cover, the hair looks too messy for my taste and I don't like different shades of red.

Mariano Vivanco really? So basically Bazaar is now at the level of Vogue Mexico or Brazil? So sad, just when you think they can't fall any further, they do. And I don't think it's because Condé Nast has everyone under "lock and key" because that has not stopped Porter and Interview from booking top talent but then again why would a top photographer want to work here.

Cheap and tacky!! No redeeming feature here whatsoever, and they dared to even mention Amelia Earheart in this piece! Preposterous!

I actually really like all of it! The cover is beautiful and there are some great shots in the editorial. It's very cohesive and has a nice narrative to it, which I enjoy because so many shoots seem so choppy and all over the place these days (see Dakota's February Vogue cover story.) The shot of her stood on top of the plane has got to be the subscriber's cover; it's awesome.

I feel like we've seen this editorial a million times. It's so unoriginal and boring. I think it's about time for Harpers Bazaar to have a major shakeup.

The cover is an eyesore, likr every cover they do!! But she is working it in the ed.

QUEEN RIHANNA!!!!!

Another knockout photoshoot. Seriously this girl cannot take a bad photo and I LOVE the blonde hair. It's been awhile since she's rocked it.

I love the subscribers cover with her on top of the plane. First swimming with sharks to being on top of a flying plane. Kudos to fearless, Rihanna.

The digital issue is out and it's a snooze fest. It's filled with the typical Bazaar editorials. There is a fun Dior editorial but other than that it's a pass.

The cover is cheap imo... the lipstick, the background -_-
the editorial is waaay better.
