US Harper's Bazaar May 2014 : Kate Moss by Terry Richardson

She looks great on the newsstand cover but the sub cover is awesome! Just bummed it's TR.

Indifferent to anything produced by Terry so I can't even appreciate this..

It is possible to appreciate something without approving of its creator. I can think of great artists that have flaws. The Nobel prize winning writer Hamsun springs to mind. He was a nazi symphatizer during WWII, but that doesn't make his literary works any less excellent.

You can also appreciate something without any regard to the original motivation of the creator. Golding didn't mean for Lord of the Flies to become a classic and a study of human nature, but it did, because we can appreciate his work based on our own interpretation of his work. Even if you dislike Terry, you can still have appreciate his work if it actually is good for once.

Sorry to single you out, but a lot of people seem to share your idea...

And I know a lot of people wouldn't call photography art, but thats not the point here;)

I s she wearing her design for Topshop on the cover? If so she has two major covers in two major publications in both US & UK this month!

Kate does look smashing on the subscriber cover- I like how they have the magazine's name over and over behind her, it looks so cool. Shame that Harper's Bazaar still wants to work with Terry Richardson, from what I can tell they are one of his biggest supporters. He's shot a number of covers for them, hasn't he? And as a magazine aimed at women one would hope that they would be more sensitive about working with someone whose got a not so nice reputation when it comes to how he treats women.

Kudos to them for using the models, but this cover is so awful. Come on! The very worst of Bazaar. Lara's couv was at least ten times better.

This is Kate overload for me, I can't deal with it. And also it's your typical Richardson's shoot, nothing new.

What is there to appreciate about Terry's point-and-shoot photography? Even animals given a camera would produce the exact same work.

I would be able to appreciate these pictures even if a monkey shoot them:wink:

...And this is exactly the reason why I canceled my subscription to US Harper's last year.

As happy I am to see more models on the cover recently and love Kate but have to agree with everyone that I don't support Bazaar continuing to work with Terry and may have to reconsider my subscription.

I love that they put a 40 years old model on their Beauty Issue cover, and they left some wrinkles and skin texture! :)

I hate it that Bazaar US starts to put models on their covers, but I like this cover.
