US Harper's Bazaar September 2007 : Kate Hudson by Peter Lindbergh

I received my issue yesterday, overall a pretty solid issue. i loved all the editorials, just the ashton kutcher article was totally unnecessary imo....what's he gotta do with fashion anyways??

Seeing it for real, I like the cover - it sends the message that fall fashion is fun, because the emphasis is on her happy expression, and the dress comes second. And I like the insert one page in that reinforces the cover, instead of us becoming immediately lost in all the ads.

I think there is an optimum size for a September issue, because this doesn't feel as unwieldy as US Vogue; you can actually still read it... and lift it, and leave it lying open. It's a digestible size, with a decent array of models (and I'm personally glad to see Jean-Paul Goude's work again).

The Prada Mermaid Paillette Dress

the beautiful dress that kate wore on the subscriber cover is listed as being a prada design, but i haven't been able to find it anywhere else, and i've scoured all the runway coverage. does anyone know it it was a one of a kind?

It says in the credits...

Kate wears a dgrad sequin gown, price upon request, Prada. 888-977-1900

thanks! i've only seen the cover online and never saw the credits. i was also wondering though, how come that dress was never shown on the runway...doesn't really fit in with the collections i've seen....i wonder if they make things to order?
