US Vogue April 2005 : Drew Barrymore by Annie Leibovitz

OMG. They used not only ONE but TWO of my favorite dresses. The last one's suppose to be MINE!!!

drew

to see drew captured in modern style & fashion, look for ANOTHER Magazine with drew on cover & pics by inez & vinoo. much livelier colors, poses, styling, layout etc etc.

and if you really like drew, look for her Playboy layout [late 90s?]
while a little raunchy its actually an accurate reflection of her wild side, free sexuality, tattoos, ....everything drew is laid out in that shoot.
maybe not her most 'elegant' work but poss. closest to the 'real' drew or at least the girl who was rocking out in ny & la alongside eric erlendson mid-late 90s. btw ive met both eric & fab m and they are extremely cool people, eric especially.

the april vogue is just annie liebowitz' ego trip & its dull and possibly appalling.

I got it about a couple of years ago
and it's much better when you see the actual cover in front of you than seeing it on a monitor
i loved it!!

Can someone explain the lion to me??? Drew looks very renaissance..

you said it. it is renaissance. in the renaissance era people were big on lions. not only in statues but also in decoration. it symbolises grandeur.

and yes, this cover is overdone.

I think the lion also represents the Beast in this month's "Beauty and the Beast" concept. Actually, I like the cover. It is better than anything that Vogue has done for the past year. ^_^

Her facial expressions make me think that US vogue should use models ... please..

she doest fit into that editorial perfectly she has those rounded facial features reminiscent of the beautiful women of that time

The lion os supposed to represent the beast for a Beauty and The Beast cover

Yeah but it was a mutli-model editorial with loads of models in a sort of go-see format (by Elgort, November 2004). I can't remember any other times she was in the magazine's editorials.

it's a nice cover and seems like an interesting issue

but is funny how people at the first pages of this thread are saying "another celeb on vogue??""

and now is all celebs
