US Vogue August 2010 : Gwyneth Paltrow by Mario Testino

I like how the colour has no RED on it for once this year. All their covers this year (except for the SJP one) have had so much red or green on them.

its awesome! she always delivers great covers anyway so dont mind her. Love the colours too

Don't know why but I like this very much. The cover is really fresh and perfect for an August issue, same for her editorial. I find it "very Gwyneth", fresh, natural and beautiful.

Not bad for US Vogue. I actually can say that I like it, probably because of the blue...

I love the blue colours of the cover, but I can't get excited about another Gwyneth-standing-about-in-a-house editorial when Bazaar did it the other month - and against a much more beautiful backdrop. It's an inoffensive cover story, but I certainly wouldn't but the magazine for it, and if there are two or three great editorials in this issue, I'd be flipping straight past these shots to get to the good stuff.

The cover is not bad at all. I love the b/w pic of Gwyneths ed. Classic Testino.

If she's really going to talk kitchen, I'm all in. If she's going to AGAIN talk about life in her 30s, marrying a British man, life with kids, married life, making a comeback (that's yet to happen) and how she found X diet works better for her and how she's quit tuna.. then this is a rehash of what Gwyneth's been talking about for the last 10 YEARS and I'm not interested. -_-

Nice cover, though. A little more April than August but still nice.

I love it! What a very refreshing cover for a star that`s been on the cover for several times. This is really lovely. It has this smile that can capture you right away. It`s also not dull, boring & repetitive. What I hate is the text. Could they get any bigger? It`s like they`re gonna eat Gwyneth up. I`m also bothered with the missing G.

Her editorial is simple but really lovely.

The cover and shoot is fantastic. She looks beautiful. This suits her unlike her last cover US Vogue cover where the team behind it obviously didn't know how to do futuristic.

The article is boring. Why couldn't she also talk about her interests in fashion and about her new movie which comes out in December.

Her covers just keep getting worse and worse. October 2005 was the only decent cover because she looked natural and the cover was untouched. These days though it seems Mario and the post-production team at Vogue seem to go overboard with photoshopping and editing. The effect is this terribly forced expression and just general horrid cover shot.

My biggest problem with magazines using celebs is that they use the same ones over and over. Gwyneth on Vogue, Drew on Elle, Cameron on Bazaar. It's like there hasn't been a new actress since the nineties. I find it hard to believe that if the celeb craze had beenn going on in 2000 that magazines would have been using 80's actresses to front their covers.

i found buzz lightyear and kirby to be more interesting ;)

The pose on the cover really reminds me of Rachel McAdams' on the January cover?

That being said I quite like Gwyneth's cover, but I couldn't help noticing the similarities.
I agree that Testino takes the most beautiful shots of her. I think she has an amazing smile and I love that he captures her in those moments rather than the 'serious' or 'pouty' pose.
Alot of people think she's cold and I feel like Testino's portraits always prove otherwise!

the cover isn't the best one but it's okay... the editorial is really nice.

Used to like Gwyneth when she first started. The cover colors look nice. I like the styling of the shoot. Now, I haven't read the interview, but if she is cooking I only have one question: Did she fire her cook?

the layout is always bad but this is a cover i can take. gwyneth looks great!
