US Vogue December 2013 : Jessica Chastain by Annie Leibovitz

Gorgeous. Her face could be better captured, but it works. Too much text though.

Im so happy. This is my favourite Vogue US cover since...ever.
The colors are beautiful, Jessica looks stunning, they took a risk with the angle.
I couldnt be more happy. This is one to remember.

Happy to see Jessica on the cover of US Vogue. Well deserved. Love the cover itself too. It feels fresh to see rich and vivid colors on a December cover. Very festive.

I never enjoy when photographers go THIS literal. Plus, it feels very summery... But then again, Annie is one of the worst 'serious' photographers ever.

US Vogue is such a boring train wreck of a magazine now… And I guess complaining about celebrities being the cover subjects at this point is absurd, but I can’t help being bothered by it every month.

Oh no. -_- No no no no no. This is bad. That dress is wearing her, not the other way around. She looks like she has a cramp in her neck. The primary color scheme is wrong for any month, but especially for December.
Couldn't agree more with you. Additionally, the angle really bothers me. My eyes go straight to the upper left corner, but because of the way her head is positioned she looks super oddly proportioned. I don't like how her head covers the masthead and how the lower half of the cover is practically all text against a yellow background. I find this totally weird, and it's definitely not a great shot of Jessica either. I'm so over Leibovitz and Testino for US Vogue.

The cover is very striking, but the colors are wrong for December.

Very lovely to see her. A surprise, just like Kate last month.

Don't think the cover is very strong though. The dress doesn't look good in that angle, and I agree with whoever said that the dress is wearing her. And I just don't like yellow, and especially not mixed with red.
Jessica looks lovely though, what a beauty she is.

There is too much interest in the top left cover which leaves this mass of yellow to consume the rest of the cover. To me the yellow is very overpowering - too saturated. So I agree with whoever said the dress is wearing her. And it's a shame because I think Jessica is stunning. It's definitely not awful, but its not the best considering this is a December cover

She looks slighty illl, whoever put that color eyeshadow on her needs to be slapped.

oh it is beautiful but absolutely not festive, it would be great for october but not for december

At first I thought she was awkwardly positioned, but I've really grown to love the cover.

Stellar cover! Jessica is my favorite actress, she's perfect in every role!
And this cover is as perfect as Jessica, and it's styled by Grace!!!! LOVE IT :buzz: :buzz:

I don't hate it surprisingly, but I agree with those saying it looks more like a summer color. Would have been nice to see her in a green dress (I'm a sucker for redheads in green).

Really like what they've done here, very different style for US Vogue.

The cover would look more rich and festive if the ocean blue wasn't present. I assume that was added on, unless Vogue set up a lump of deep red velvet in front of the ocean for the photoshoot.

I dont see summer at all here, because of the ocean in the back? Its such a perfect, refreshing take on December, i love it, and think they captured the feel, and glamour of the month. And i bet it will look even more gorgeous at newsstands.
