Isn't that a shame? I understand the reasons for omitting Weber and Testino, but all the others too?Annie it's the only big photographer they have now.
Maya also deserved a cover. In love with the Hopper references. Glad Annie did the ed and not other. I hope to see her working with Meisel after this. With 3 issues of British Vogue left I doubt it for a cover story, but for a campaign it could be.
I don't think it's as simple as Vouge choosing not to use the other big photographers (I mean, who else is there... other than Roversi, Meisel and Annie, who am I forgetting?). Maybe they just don't want to work within the budgetary and creative parameters Anna has set. I can't blame them for that. I always feel like people simplify the reasons for why certain models, photographers, etc. aren't used.Isn't that a shame? Absolutely. Despite the lack of fashion editorials featuring models (am I the only one that was shocked?), this looks like an old-school American Vogue.Came across this sat on the shelves in WHSmith over the weekend and I thought the cover looked even more beautiful in person! The cover on the print copy is more elongated than what Vogue's Instagram post suggests, which I like. Got all the old-school American Vogue vibes upon seeing it, and the issue felt quite weighty as opposed to their usual wafer-thin offerings.
It just goes to show that nothing compares to seeing a magazine in print!
