US Vogue December 2024 : Kaia Gerber by Steven Meisel

Nooooo not those nails!! but it’s nice to see a real beauty editorial again.

Reminds me this. Love both

“Impossible Beauty” editorial is Empossibly Horrible!!!
Ugh, the whole thing is so dated, I mean the whole
Issue. Combined with Alistair Mckimm styling… Ouch… Embarrassing…

The Anok editorial is straight out of the Glenda Bailey playbook. Not that that is such a terrible thing these days.

Are you thinking about their Art and Commerce editorial from W magazine? Cause it’s what came to my mind.
Yes and old testino “house party nightclub vibrant etc” eds

Carlijn doesn't know how light works on such dark skin? What are these 3 worst shots of Anok ever... would not even recognized her if her name was not mentioned here before

I really like the Kaia Gerber cover (especially the candy colors and shiny skin) by Meisel and the beauty story of Anok/Alex by Carlijn. Not so into the dancing story, but some shots are ok.

Carlijn pictures im not at all a fan of. They're nondescript, the nails could be a much better picture. At her best she's always amazing yet often reminiscent of someone else.
I&V is a dated concept but after recent events, seem unusually kinetic for the stiff US Vogue... Angelina looks best here.
Steven does his job of making sure people check out the issue.
Gregory Crewdson in US Vogue is exquisite. There's a pairing I never knew I needed. It's different for US Vogue and by letting MJ roam free they're reaping the benefits of someone actually living the life and showing them the good stuff in the back alleys. MJ has a very toned and focused collection of contemporary art.
a stand-out of an issue, perfect timing, can't wait for the texts. :flower:
