US Vogue December 2024 : Kaia Gerber by Steven Meisel

Thanks for the link, I found it well worth a watch, it added some dimension to the issue. If that Marc-at-home feature doesn't get widely reprinted, I'll be disappointed.

I love how 'guest-editing' just means 'this month you work for Anna and you'll do what she says'. You wouldn't expect anything less.

The shot with the pink bag would've made a far better full length cover but wow stellar story on US Vogue - FINALLY!

What a boost for Kaia! Solo cover by Meisel of US Vogue for the December issue. Wow!

I like it. It’s not extraordinary but it feels celebratory, eventful and mostly, it’s fashion! A fashion model, a fashion photographer, photographing fashion. There’s a Fashion POV!
And it’s rare to have fashion without that blur of celebrity culture attached to it in Vogue US!

For that alone, it’s a must-have!

Anna stole VP concept though lol.

Woah... what a mood boost! That first cover and Anne Weyant (a Marc thing certainly) is amazing for US Vogue!
post-production is intentional of course. like what he did in VI with Lara and Meghan with the print on print story.
I love this U-turn

Well wow I miss her on the runway! The portrait and some b/w shoots are beyond beautiful

Just like ages ago she stole well trained photographers and stylists from Harpers after Liz passing, she now stole old concept of guest editor and Meisel covers from killed VP and Vogue UK and now restoring her Vogue back to its old shape like woke/new (untalented) talents years never happened. How soon we will see Kidman and Gwyneth on the cover again and model+actor love story ed inside?
Stole? Wouldn't that be the incumbent editor's fault for letting it happen (i.e. Kate Betts)?

Vogue Paris didn't invent the concept of the "guest editor," either. And like Meisel never shot for Vogue US before 2024? Huh??

Why they stop working with Grace? Maybe She’s happy after All those years working every single day with Anna. Shes free kkkk

Not interested in this cartoonish/childlike/airbrushed vision of women.
To me fashion works best with raw beauty and not so much filters, artifice and makeup.
The golden age with Lindbergh/Ritts/Weber/Feurer will be unsurpassed.

Very, very happy to see Meisel's work on the cover of US Vogue again. I genuinely thought we would experience a drought after Edward's tenure, but his semi-regular contributions across the 'main' editions have been a very pleasant surprise.

I wasn't pleased at the first sight of that full frontal cover, it feels somehow empty and the full editorial proves that they had better cover choices at hand. The second one appeals more to me, it's fun and generally works better as a cover image (which I am hoping makes its way to local newsstands where I live). The editorial is a US Vogue classic - glamorous, easy on the eyes, colorful and polished to perfection. I couldn't ask for more! Very pleased with this and can only hope that his contributions to the magazine become more frequent.

As for the painted cover, it really wasn't neccessary. I do like the painting, though.

The only person who didn't fall for it was Andy Warhol, once she went to a job interview with him and he laughed at her.
Interesting, can you elaborate on that? or know here to read more on that matter? thanks

I'm still intriged by this move. It's so out of touch too. She's showing one of the most irrelevant fashions of our time. And why? Who wants to wear that?

It's really funny how hard she tried, with Meisel, nepo girl - all to showcase Marc cardboard fashion.
