US Vogue March 2022 : Kim Kardashian by Carlijn Jacobs

You can't deny it's a gorgeous cover. I really like the profile shot, she looks amazing. I'm impressed by this one.

diet prada has become a woke menace. Always reaching for grievances, for imaginary injustices, that have nothing to do with them.
They're destructive, and evil. I really hope Dolce and Gabbana win their case, and flush them.

blessed be the fruit.

It's a flat cover, her pose ruins the whole cover. That profile photo could better cover & she resembles Cher on some images with that vintage style (Carlijn Jacobs pays tribute to Richard Avedon & Chris von Wangenheim).

I googled the Diet Prada couple. No words, hahaha. I disagree with you. She looks fabulous with that serious straight face. Perfect. I have seen millions covers with models with the same face and I love them. I repeat again; wish she started as a model because she's a great muse. I will take her 100% seriously the day she quits all the reality shows and the family drama exposition, she has all the tools to do it.

The lack of humanity at her stare, done in post production, is the main problem for me....the hair and the body looks good

Your hypothetical think piece quotes made me laugh. Lmao. Absolutely accurate. Fashion by its very nature is frivolous, but the current trend of everything needing to be "socially-conscious" has driven these magazines to dressing up every frivolousness as a social cause. It's so ridiculous, but it keeps at bay the wrath of the Twitter activists.
They sound outlandish and ridiculous....but here are some ACTUAL Vogue think piece titles I've come across in the last week

"Appreciating the Orgasm as an Act of Self-Care"
"Shaneel Lal, uses Style for Queer Liberation"
"Ashanti Lation on the Importance of Self-Advocacy, and the Healing Power of Hair Care"
"How America Ferrera is Recognizing her own Strength and Welcoming Inspiraiton"
"In Sharon van Etten's new music video, Exercise is Emotional"

They are so delusional.

I guess When Ethan James Greene is the biggest name photog in your March issue you make up for it by serving a double helping of Kardashian. I can’t make this stuff up.

EJG's ed is the worst of the issue, so I do think there's something to be said for giving new(ish) faces a spot. I don't love the issue overall, but I have to admit this was likely the most enjoyable experience I've had looking through a new Issue of American Vogue in over 2 years. Kendall's ed is probably my favorite. I intend to actually read several of the features.

The Fashion Spot even gets a shout-out in one of the features, written by a former tfs member and now Vogue editor, Janelle Okwodu (@Luxx )

Looking forward to see Larissa Hofmann's editorial. I didn't know she's a photographer now!

Thanks for the review, I´m looking forward for Xiao Wen Ju´s ed :)

262 pages?!

I realise we are still emerging from a pandemic, and print is in extremely challenging times, but for a March issue this is tragic. The halcyon days of 600+ pages are over, aren’t they?

Surely March and September (and perhaps December) issues are the key issues in which to produce more editorials and use the best photographers? I mourn for American Vogue, they need a fashion visionary like Grace Coddington again. Someone who can create the images that will stand the test of time.

I apologise for my impromptu rant!

Saw this at the supermarket today and there were only 3 copies left - compared to probably 10+ copies of February Elle and February HB, Cosmo, etc. Kanye’s behavior is no doubt driving up newsstand sales.

I quite like the Cher vibes but considering we're in the middle of award season and all five Best Actress nominees (as well as Dunst in Supporting Actress) have been previous cover stars before... it seems like a waste of cover star? Granted she is guaranteed to sell more but it just seems like a strange time for her to be on the cover.

It's wild that Kristen Stewart never got a Diana-themed editorial.
