V Magazine #140 Spring Preview 2023 : Lily Collins by Nathaniel Goldberg

Love the new font they are using.

I believe a shoot with Irina Shayk by I&V is part of this issue.

I mean its okay. Very CR Fashion Book

The most recent season had a tiny lil subplot in one of the episodes that was essentially advocating for the importance/relevance of print magazines. Last season, 58 million different Netflix accounts watched Emily in Paris within its first 28 days of release. Those are pretty huge numbers. Lily Collins has a smash tv show, contracts with Lancome and Cartier, and 27 million Instagram followers. Not surprised magazines are taking the bait.

Oh, somehow I thought Lily Col... would be Lily Cole, what a lovely surprise that would have been. Of course it is another Emily in Paris cover.

Oh for the love of God, can we move on from Lily already? All these covers and I can't recall a single striking one that stuck with me in a positive way.

I saw some pictures of the editorial on Twitter. It's nice.

she does not have the range… and as an actress she’s pretty average.
I liked her in ‘To the Bone’ which was a little more demanding from her as a role and still…

I watched both seasons of ‘Emily in Paris’ - 1st because I got caught on the hype and the 2nd wishing it got better. it didn’t. it has some interesting bits being her French boss the most interesting one and some of the French actors are good. all in all it’s absolutely rubbish and to watch when hungover.
won’t be watching S3. there’s no point.

(Sorry about the next comment ) She's so tiny for the kind of clothes she's wearing here. It really looks unflattering on her. She's the type of girl as Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello that looks extremely young for fashion shoots. In the other hand, the pictures I saw on Twitter are better than the ones for the cover.

Lilly Collins might not be the right cover material, but I just believe the main problem is V itself - it went down to a totally irrelevant publication which manages to turn even the covers with top models into tacky social media feed material. Unfortunately the really nice font cannot save the tragic situation.

LOVE em ahahah she must have done like 10 covers already just to promote season 3 = AWESOMEEE and yes the show deserves it ahaha it's fun, fresh, silly, full of clichés and spicy ahaha. As a french person I love that it makes so many other french people mad ahaahah coz they don't want to admit all of these real-life clichés ahahahah. Lily is perfect in this role and ok this show might not be oscar-worthy but it relaxes many of us, you can disconnect from your daily life or stress or whatever and just enjoy a funny / romantic-silly-fake-over the top-esque kind of a series ahahaahaha. I can't wait for season 4 and cross my fingers for season 5.

These covers are very good: dramatic, high fashion, powerful and they are much much better than most of the recent covers with models or instaclowns that we have seen in the last 8 to 10 years. These covers are also superior than what Vogue France did.

pd: I would love to see Carine Roitfelt doing a cameo and being either a friend or foe to
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu's character (Sylvie ahaha).
