It looks like a bad photo montage. Sofa seems to be added in post production. The blurriness around her hair and sleeve, lack of shadows. Amateur mess.

It feels very Red Valentino…
It’s so strange, Meisel’s campaigns for Valentino under Mr Valentino were very consistent because there was a strong POV in terms of the women they were dressing. His work under PPP and MG was also good because it gave another POV to the very consistent RTW…
Now, it’s confusion. I mean the collection was very Gen-Z centric so the styling make sense but when you compare this to previous campaigns, it’s weird.
‘That being said, I have nothing to complain in terms of execution. And Meisel loves a good chair / sofa.

If they were going the Instagirl route they should have booked Gigi or Bella. Kaia still looks very juvenile and inexperienced. It also doesn’t help that the clothes are as equally unimpressive. Two wrongs do not make a right.

I usually prefer Steven Meisel inside his studio, as opposed to a location shoot but this instantly transported me back to his Vogue Italia cover stories (May and June 2011 in particular) and I'm not mad at it. Always been a fan of Kaia Gerber, and appreciate the solo casting this season. A thumbs up from me!
