Vanity Fair exposes Sienna Miller

Now what's the big deal with this?

It just shows that the fame game is just another creepy, soul-sucking establishment where you have to play by a bunch of unspoken rules, no different from any other corporate job out there. "There is a time and a place for everything", as we've been reminded by our schoolmarms since time immemorial. Any game has rules. If Sienna doesn't want to play the one prefabricated for her, she's doing exactly as she should, in my opinion. Get out while you can, Sienna! There's still hope!

These events are dull and intimidating. I would get drunk and bite my toenails, too, rather than be forced to talk shop with the folks at VF. I'd have taken the time to puke on James Wolcott and Cristopher Hitchens while I was at it.:D

Theres something really annoying about the vanity fair photos. Im not sure why, but it reminds of a bratty child doing it for attention.

she was just having fun with her friend from back home. let s not critisize her. she s not doing anything bad!

I agree it seems a bit harsh of them, but on the other hand, the Vanity Fair party isn't the kind of party where its ok to have fun like sucking people's toes and getting completely drunk. It's more a networking, dignifed impressing people evening rather than a nighclub where it would generally go unnoticed or people wouldn't give a rats ***. If she wanted to impress people and make them think she can be taken seriously as a hardworking actress then she was probably going about it the wrong way. Even if Vanity Fair is becoming an upmarket tabloid (and I agree about that) its taken a lot more seriously by people than something like Star or Us Weekly where it wouldn't matter at all.

Have you ever seen vidoe footage of the paparazzi or any photo shoot for that matter? The Vanity Fair articles looked a bit staged to me. I can see a photographer at the party asking her to do some Edie poses. I agree when someone said "The fact that her picture is b&w makes it quite like a still from the Factory Girl". They may have been doing some fun photos for the photographer, but now the photos sereve a better purpouse of saying she was wild and crazy.

I always question my sources. Even "respected" magazines like Vanity Fair. Remember, their goal is to sell copies just like the tabloids.

Sorry off topic. Now lets get back to style.

Your wrong. Most people in the film industry are hard working and not drinking , drugging people with no morals. That's just offensive. Millions are at stake. It's a business.

I said 'most' people I never said everybody was like that because I know it's an industry with a lot of money involved. But I still think that the vanity fair quote is a bit hypocritical.:flower:

what's wrong with this..nothing ! What should one do in party then?

To me it doesn't look like she's really done anything wrong but I'm not sure how many friends Sienna has in hollywood....maybe plenty but this feels like someone who is out to get her has put out this press release and the Vanity Fair stuff as well. Just thoughts

It's not just an issue of wanting to be accepted in Hollywood, it's just a thing called manners. I'm all about partying, but taking off your shoes and biting your own foot while being at a galmorous party doesn't quite say "classy girl". Then again, I dont really think of Sienna that way...so it doesn't really surprise me that she would actually do something like this.:innocent:

"Vanity Fair exposes Sienna"

really first thing that comes to my mind is that VF has found out that sienna was male before or something else bit shocking.

not omg she showed her toes!

I was thinking the EXACT same thing.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe she was nervous, considering the fact that everybody makes such a huge deal about the VF oscar party. or maybe its more fun to just have a good time w/ a friend instead of playing by "hollywood's rules" and kissing **** to some producer or doing coke in the bathroom

God,this is stupid. It's as if none of the Vanity Fair staffers has EVER gotten a bit drunk and had a silly time in their lives.Man, celebrity-obsession is the number one problem in America these days!

what the heck... let her get drunk and have fun.
she's not doing any harm to anyone.

funny and charming, she's grown on me. good on her for not taking all this hollywood bulls**t too seriously.

I..I...I think I love you?

Having embarassed myself many a drunken time, I can relate to Sienna being bored at a stuffy over-hyped party:lol:

With that said, I've also learned my lesson :innocent:

totally!

it relation to our "normal" world it's like getting drunk and behaving stupidly in front of the boss at the company christmas party. while it's not the end of the world and (almost) everyone has done it before, it's still not in good judgement and it can affect your professional career.

Given how aware she must be at this point about being in the public eye it seems like a really dumb thing for her to do. but it's not a big deal and like everything celebs do (remember Lindsay's car crashes last summer, britney's bare food bathroom visits) this too shall pass and in a month it will be off the public raidar.

now whether it affects the industry's willingness to work with her is another story but I think she has enough buzz about her that this can only be a good thing if the motto "any publicity is good publicity" holds true

this is completely blown out of proportion....
WHO CARES what sienna miller does or does not do at a vanity fair party?....
BIG DEAL!.....VF seem to think they are god's gift to mankind with this kind of story....how dare she sit on a couch with a drink in her hand and kick off her shoes with a friend?!?!.....

now i am no sienna fan.....i dont really care about her one way or the other...
but i flipped through VF today and couldnt believe those were the pictures that all this fuss was about....
and as for all this 'if she wants to try and impress and convince people she's a serious actress then she's going about it the wrong way' talk, what if she doesnt CARE about sucking up to the hollywood hot shots every time she steps out?.....

VF needs to get real.....
no-one has 'EXPOSED' sienna miller..... they've printed 3 pictures of her having a good time.....suddenly you need to be well-behaved and composed to make it big in hollywood??.....
i dont think so.....:innocent:

Fair Point.

In the new Glamour issue ( which has Nicole Richie on the cover , I subscribe and just got it today.) Sienna is quoted as saying she was 'too hung over for all this' referring to the Vanity fair party.
