Flicking through the UK version online, it's 112 pages, most of the ads at the front of the issue are for watches and jewellery, the editor's letter is about reconnecting with the world of film. That Awards Insider supplement with Caitriona Balfe on the cover is the "first of two special issues this season".
Giveon opens the Vanities section, plus sex toys, denim fashion, an advertorial for the LVMH Cheval Blanc hotel in Paris, the Czech billionaire who wants to take over the UK National Lottery, a look at Dave Chappelle, the idea of the internet becoming the metaverse...
The Priyanka story doesn't really contain any better shots than the cover, they're all weirdly posed or deep in shadow - and it's followed by a Leibovitz-shot feature with Hugh Jackman which, in ye olden days, would likely have been the cover story for this issue.
The 'who torched the Pornhub house' is probably one of those articles that I'll think I have no interest in, but it'll turn out to be the best in the issue - I'm reviewing this issue as momentary work avoidance so there's no time to read anything - followed by an interview with director Adam McKay. War correspondent Janine Di Giovanni revisits Gaza, plus an article by Lucy Sante on finding herself (gender dysphoria), then countries bickering over who owns the wreck of a Spanish galleon. The back page Proust Questionnaire is with Snoop Dog.
The photography in this issue isn't anything to remember, but the range of articles seems interesting.
