That's the inaugural issue... and we get a reprint of VF USA from last July...

Unforgivable...couldn't they at least reprint a recent VF cover? After seeing this my excitement for the magazine has decreased dramatically.

why her again? I thought she'd be gone by now, aren't all twilight movies already out?

I don't understand why her, why a reprint from last year ? I was so excited about their first issue but wow i have nothing to say because there is nothing to say except : hot mess.

By the way, Michel Denisot as EIC is such a bad idea :yuk:

I know that Anne Boulay was the EIC of French GQ before being the EIC of French Vanity Fair but she could have refrained from using the same font that they already used for GQ... I hope the content will be good...

I had no idea that Vanity Fair was coming to France until I received a mail in my mailbox yesterday. How unexpected to see Michel Denisot as the EIC?! I'm already disappointed (as most of you guys) by this cover. I don't understand why Kristen Stewart is on the cover, didn't we get enough of her? and it's even more discouraging to find out that their first cover is actually a reprint from last year. Shame.

I've made the same mistake but Anne Boulay is the EIC and Michel Denisot is the editorial director but anyway i dont like them. I find GQ under Anne Boulet quiet dull so...

I've expected a really glamour cover with Lea Seydoux for example or Audrey Tautou, i dont know !
but french star or model would be better thanhis reprint of Kristen Stewart but i keep hope that the content will be good especially with Virginie Mouzat :woot:

It makes me laugh that Condé Nast France president Xavier Romatet said to wwd.com that the magazine is "aimed primarily at women aged 35 to 50" and yet they chose Kristen Stewart to be on their first cover...

According to that same interview, this issue will "feature exclusive coverage of the Cannes party with photographs by Ellen von Unwerth".

We have so many beautiful actresses in France. And Models (I did not say Laetitia Casta did I?!) to be on cover of VF. I u don't have the money to create a magazine, don't do it.

No no no, what a disapointment. I wait for the first issue for months and now this. Just useless.

this is scandalous, premiere issue and you get a US reprint that has a US celebrity with no major movies or stories in the pipeline..really

I see people are disappointed, why would anyone have high expectations about VF? Have you seen Italian edition?

^ Good point! Even the US edition has become laughable at times.
