She looks completely different in that pic. A book could be interesting but I wish someone else was writing it. Last time I saw Vanity on TV she sounded crazy.

Agreed. It's probably going to be a lousy book because she is an extreme Christian, and extremism in anything is not good, in my opinion.
But, yeah, last time I saw her on TV, I couldn't take it because her radical views are so annoying. It's too bad she can't find that happy medium - for herself and for us, so we could get a good book filled with good stories.

Yeah, when I followed that link and read the book's description I crossed it off my mental "to read" list. She still sounds nuts, I wrote about it on my blog if you're interested.

Me neither. She was before my time, but I have learned more about her. Her life story is very interesting and somewhat tragic, but it's a beautiful story in what she managed to overcome.

Seeing pics of Vanity really takes me back to my childhood. I believe she had only one solo album (outside from Vanity 6), I always thought she could have had another one back then. Probably most memorable was her performance in the movie "Action Jackson". She sang 2 songs that still (IMO) hold up today - "Far Away Eyes" and "Undress". Although her acting in the movie was OK, she made that movie more enjoyable to watch.
