Vaseline

I literally have a vaseline addiction - I use it as lip balm but have become so dependent that if I dont put to on at least once every twenty minutes, my lips are so sore and dry.
Everyone gives me so much stick because I am always carrying around this big tub of vaseline everywhere I go!

Oh my god I thought I had actually already replied to this thread when I read your reply! I am in the exact same situation. It's annoying though, one time I forgot it, must've taken it out of bag without thinking, and so I had to run into a shop and buy a new tub.

I use it on my eyebrows to smooth them.. or after plucking
I use it on the end of my nose in the winter when i have a cold
I put it arund my hiarline when dying my hair so i dont dye my face and neck etc.
I put it on cuts like seel
I use it ony my feet like a balm ifim going on a long walk tos top blisters
I also use it on my feet to keep them soft smoother it on then wrap in clingfilm
I use it under eye shaddow powder so it sticks better
Iuse it as lip balm when im caught short and have nothing else

The other day I was asking my husband what he thought about applying vaseline to the body (if it would make me break out, etc.)...he's a nurse and a few years ago he worked in Northern Canada with the Natives. He said there was a 90 year old woman there who only used vaseline and no other products on her body. He said she had the most flawless and young looking skin he'd ever seen in her life and she attributed it to the Vaseline.

Yes! My grandmother has used it her whole life and swears by it, as well.

I tried using it last night as a make-up remover, and it worked quite well. I love the feeling it leaves on the skin.

^ I use it as makeup remover. Cheapest makeup remover.

^ i've read that sooo many times now. and i also want to try it out ... but somehow i'm a little afraid because it is so greasy :ninja: don't know if that's so positive for my already almost oily skin

its great for the lips i cant live without it. everyone asks me how do i keep my lips so soft and full of color and its vaseline after hydrating them. Also its fantastic if you dont want dirt to get into your pores

I stopped using it, since lately I got this weird white gloss on my lips afterwards. I've been using something called Blistex ever since and I think it works really well. It's less greasy and also tastes really good.

I've only tried it on my lips but it makes them really dry ugh :(

I use vaseline to remove my mascara and as a over night lip balm. It's not the best ingredients but I won't consider it the worst.

I was wondering how good/bad Vaseline was for your skin lately, and i've been meaning to try it. After reading this thread, i'm even more intrigued about it, especially after reading Liya's post.
My lips get dry so easily, and even though i have tried a gazillion of lip balms, i haven't found the perfect one. Also, my feet get really dry too, so i'm definitely going to try Vaseline on them. I'll sure come back with my review :flower:

I used to put on my feet in the night, specially during winter.

^Thats awesome.

I put it on my eyelids before I go to sleep some nights to soothe my eyelids

good thing i found this thread.

Couple hours ago i came home after a night out with friends, once i came home and changed into my pjs i went to clean my face and couldnt find my regular make up remover, since my whole family was asleep i didnt want to do a lot of noise looking for it but couldnt go and just wash my face and go to sleep bc i was wearing heavy make up on my eyes. the only thing i found was vaseline. ive heard about people using it for everything but came to my laptop and googled for some info before iput it on. it said people would use it for that purpose but there were a lot of comments and mixed opinions, i gave it a shot and WOW, it cleaned my face like nothing else has. i use waterproof mascara bc i wear contact lenses and its always a paint int he butt to get it off. i was surprise how quickly it cleaned my face. i have oily skin so i used just a little ammount and washed my face with lots of water afterwards and it left my skin so smooth and misturized, not oily at all.

but i was concerned when using it with oily skin, so many people says it will clog your pores, but so many other swear by this and said it will make your skin beautifula nd youthful, i even came across pictures of people who have used it for years and looks very young and fress faced, even saw the tyra "you got vaseline" video.

i have a friend who is a makeup artist and uses baby oil to clean all the heavy make up from her face, then washes it off with water and her skin is flawless. is it genes or it really works? i would like to use it more often because i didnt have to stretch all my face to get rid of my make up like always, i feel like sometimes its worse to do that than leave the make up on.

Any opinions from a real pro?
