Versace S/S 2017 : Edie Campbell & Anna Ewers by Bruce Weber

It's not as bad as I thought it would be although my expectations were already pretty low. Versace's new direction isn't working for me. The collections are boring and the ad's reflect that. She had a hit with SS16 and Steven Klein made that collection sing in the campaign. This however, is depressing.

Not as horrible as the previous season..but still bad..please bring back steven klein.

We have been talking about the idea of the new Versace for 10 years now.

This. It's like Versace people don't know which direction is right for them, so they've been coming up with THE NEW VERSACE every season. And I've heard that since 2008. I have nothing against reinventing the aesthetic, but you have to keep in mind that it's still the same brand. Last few years were especially messy, like they've changed the direction too many times.

Now we are in Weber's era and I don't think it's good. Personally speaking it has nothing to do with the house of Versace. And while this cast isn't that bad here, it's totally wasted.

Edie is quite expressionless... she looks bored even when she is rocking the horse... like the shot with the guy...

Actually Anna is the one who looks completely bored here imo

Bruce Weber x Versace doesn't work imo. Bring back Klein or M&M.

Lol, NO.
This is not Versace. Can't stand Weber for this brand, he doesn't brings anything great.

Must admit that I'm in total agreement with you - and I love Anna Ewers!

As if last season wasn't proof enough that Bruce Weber's a terrible choice for Versace, Donatella hires him for yet another unsuccessful season. This is so disappointing, so utterly off-brand and flat. Not even bothered about seeing more of Anna at this point..

Bruce Weber for Versace was and still is a hit for the menswear line only! Unless the budget isn't enough to afford another photographer for the womenswear, i don't see the smart business move with continuing to hire him.

This is just plain boring and that's not someting I would usually say about Versace. Bruce Weber just doesn't fit the brand and I don't really see why Donatella doesn't go for another photographer. At least the male shot is nice though.

this is not Versace, its Polo Ralph Lauren for me

I really don't get it either. What is she thinking? "I'm gonna make Versace classy"? It just looks all wrong.

I don't like M&M anymore but they are a better choice for the brand, or Klein.

I love only Edie's shot standing on the horse's back.
I have to say this concept of horses and fashion is really dated and I don't understand the connection between the S/S 17 collection and the direction of the campaign.
Bruce Weber love animals and I love them too, but this seems more like a "trend" of the moment (dogs and Vogue Italy recently) adv.

God... This is so wrong in so many levels!
The worst thing is that the clothes aren't following the mood, and this is like an amateur mistake! Nothing against horses and country shoots, but the gap between the clothes and the setting is huge and disturbing. They not even trying to make "cool contrast", they just hired the models, found a farm and took some photos.
The laziness here is concerning and it's becoming more often in fashion.

I have never seen Anna look too bad as these photo before :(

Ewwww what is this? And what is that girl doing here?

Versace needs a revamp.
