He was still bad people. Don't let a Meisel campaign fool you lol.
Please write differently. I do not understand the first statement. Bad people, who?

Wow what an amazing campaign 🤩
Maybe one of my favorites in years!

United colors of Benetton x Desigual
The images might be striking, but the clothing is coming straight from an 80's costume parade and there no decent accessory in sight.
No thanks, glad he's out.
Wasted money.

Hands down, this is stunning, but I very much disliked the runway show. So the clothes are still mostly hideous for me.

Whoever art directed this campaign absolutely nailed it hopefully it wakes everyone else up.

I'll be honest the lighting and retouching on the Meisel shots look borderline promo poster for an adolescent soap opera tv show with ensemble cast (Skins, Vampire Diaries, etc), but the art direction helps them out by using a format that gives some texture to the relatively flat lighting and makes a flattering crop of the wide shots for IG/TikTok ads.

Who paid for this campaign? Prada? Meisel don't come cheap.

I wonder too. A full Meisel campaign would be even more expensive, though just these three shots weren't cheap anyway.

Considering how fresh most of them are, their pay probably didn't destroy the budget.

I love Meisel just as much as many here of course, but I'm not moved by his campaign images here. Probably because I still find the clothes ugly as sin. I can't fathom why the Prada group (?) bothered to shell out for him, especially if they also commissioned two other photographers for this campaign and moreover especially if this isn't running in print just like Donatella's campaigns for the past few years.
