Versace S/S 2026 Milan

The more I see the more I want it immediately.

I want to dress like this next summer in every way I can and integrate all the pieces into my daily rotations. I love it.

I visited your website a while back and saw discounts of up to 70%. Is it that bad? I know it's been an irrelevant brand for the past 20 seasons.

As this fashion month has continued, I've come to appreciate this collection. I was so conflicted initially but this show at least made me feel some kind intense emotions and inspired discussions lol. I appreciate that a great risk was taken and after seeing some of these other debuts (Bottega, Balenciaga, etc.), I find there is at least there is a POV here. Going through the collection again (case in point: I actually wanted to revisit this show), there are actually some desirable pieces for both men and women.

Taken out of context, it’s not an inherently terrible collection. However, it feels like a weak reinterpretation of the house archives. I don’t understand why he opted for a sporty, casual approach instead of the glamorous vision we were expecting. There was no need to subvert those expectations—unabashed sex appeal has defined Versace’s DNA from the very beginning. It’s perfectly acceptable for some brands to be straightforward without leaning on heavy-handed intellectual innuendos. With this new direction, he risks alienating a significant portion of customers, and I’m not sure he has what it takes to win them back.

I think this is the biggest gripe for me, the fact that Versace- built up so strong by Donatella after Gianni passed, to see this weak reinterpretation is a shock to our systems. We are used to seeing Versace being strong is foreign.

Even if we didn't like the collection, or it went to far one way- under Donatella it was always strong.
Always a clear point of view. It feels off. Transitional? Not enough of an excuse. The Versace archives are stacked with so many areas of where you could pull from, a creative director is supposed to master direction; not get lost in it.

If you take over a house, and are hired to steer the ship- you can't take it off course SEASON ONE.
Your leadership is then automatically called into question, and you only have one debut - you can't redo that.

I hella seen Dario with Donatella at a museum event or something, can't imagine that he's not social with her to have been able to reach out and seek even her simple approval, as a mentor, after being appointed. It's all very odd.
