Versace S/S 2026 Milan

In Milan there was Demna doing Demna, Dario doing Jeans Couture, Simone doing Jil Sander and 30 other brands doing more or less the same, better or worse.

It would be stupid to kill this, really.

Finally ! I love it ! Extremely cinematographic !
This collection has a story to tell and I am keen to listen.
Edit: not sure about the shoes, especially the clogs and the Otnisuka collab but I understand they need an easy cash grab.

I don’t think Donatella is throwing shade. That photoshoot of Addison was just released.

The collection is growing on me but he is at fault for the styling and overall presentation of his collection being off. Those images tell a better story.

It would not instill confidence in the brand to dead him. Also people need to remember that Versace hadn’t been relevant in ages and no one was buying it anymore. People miss the idea, nostalgia and potential they believe Donatella has but not her actual output.

They took waaaay too long to put the collection video out.

1.The stills don't this justice.
2. It's not as bad as some of the photos and thoughts from others indicated.
3. It feels like there is a nod to 80's Versace as a starting point- especially with the color story.
4. There are several elements from later collections from the 90's, 00's and some new things weaved in. Balance is key.
5. The hair on the male models (some of them) was an ode to Versace Avedon campaigns. Iconic 80s & 90s for the house.

All in all, staying open to what may come for Versace because these days you never know how long they'll keep someone around. I also loved the edit of the show, it was well done. Not my favorite collection, but not the worst.

That video is just putting lipstick on a pig.

The collection is OBJECTIVELY WEAK. Not necessarily ugly, but for a debut for a fashion house that's NEVER seen a Creative Director from outside its original family it's grossly underwhelming. For HIS sake, I hope this collection ages well with time. Who knows?

This is PLAIN UGLY !!!
I hate this!
I hate the new Chanel with Mathieu who is NOT Karl Lagerfeld.
I hate the new Dior with Jonathan who is NOT John Galliano.

I'm happy I've lived through way better times for fashion, nowadays you can almost throw everything away anyhow. These new designers don't respect the codes of the houses, they're just after theatrics and things for social media but in terms of collections then it's awful. You can't call yourself a fashion connoisseur and say ''this Versace collection for SS26 is perfectly aligned with the house' vision / codes / past and so on.'' It's CHEAP, it's the Temu version of what once was.
