Victoria's Secret

I haven't been to Sorrento, so I can't comment on that, but what I have seen of the two has not been at all similar. VS is all lace and satin and pink giraffes, sold in a boudoir looking enivronment (with the separate rooms for the pink giraffes or course, then it looks like 13 year old girl on speed go to design her own room), while Intimissimi seems more low key. Walking into their stores doesn't feel like entering the circus.

But this is of course only my perception of it, and other people may feel differently.

I'm not the only one who noticed that yay! Most of the stores around here are normal but the new flagship on Madison is really boudoir and that's the exact term I used when I went there with my cousin. They need to tone that down a bit, I like it better when they have the modern look going on

Almost everybody knows of Victoria's Secret for lingerie. However, not many know Victoria's Secret for fun and fashionable casual clothing (or at least you don't hear it mentioned in this light). You may occassionally see a lot of clothes from Victoria's Secret's Pink line, but they actually have some nice jeans, stylish office-type clothing, and some really feminine fashions. I've seen a few Victoria's Secret catalogs and think they offer a broad variety of casual and sophisticated clothing. Their clothing lines are diverse and lovely.

Interesting. I find much of their clothing to appear cheap - and all of the ribbed tops and sweaters.....

ribbed tops and sweaters ugh:sick: i have to agree
but i have found some nice pieces there before...oh wait it was all lingerie.lol:rolleyes:

One of my friends gets all her shoes there (from the catalog, anyway), she loves all their sandals and boots

My friend once ordered a few ribbed tanks online and when she got it, they are all see-through and it's like wtf, because nobody said that there were like burnout tanks or something. The models wear them perfectly fine in the online pic, it is as if VS has tricked her.

i think their shoes are colin stuart

as for their clothing, i did have a few oftheir french cuff button down shirts and i think they were fab around the time i got them and lasted really long. i am normally a size 0 on top but i had to get 00 xxs which was kinda weird!
some of their stuff look good on their website and they do have more fashion forward pieces but i think they keep repeating the same dresses over and over again and its generally a few pieces that are new each season..

yeah their clothes are kinda cheap. i wish their website was a bit more structured- more views of the colors of each piece, different views, a zoom, measurements for boots and clothes. it's nerve-wracking ordering from there also since returns aren't free.

i'm so annoyed. i bought 2 pairs of boots, 2 days later they put up a 20% code off all boots, and they won't give it to me. on top of that, they sent me a pair of ugly pumps when i ordered ankle booties. they are going to take off $5.99 for shipping it back + the original $19.99 i paid for shipping. i'm so angry that i have to pay $26 and i will end up with NOTHING.

Ahh! I know what you mean! I don't think all their clothing is extremely well made but I get a lot of my yoga pants from there and I just threw out my first pair of yoga pants I ever bought from VS a few weeks ago... (which I got over 6 years ago, they were really faded and I hadn't worn them for a while but, no other yoga pants, even those I've spent double to triple the amount on, have made it through so many washes). I also love their pink line, but I agree about all of the ribbed tops/sweaters, especially those turtleneck/ribbed sweaters that they have every year because they can't sell them all. Icky.

Haha seriously^ they've had some of the same styles of ribbed turtlenecks and longsleeves for the past 3 or 4 years! Same pictures sometimes too!

Has anyone tried the new "bombshell" Miraculous bra? I want to know if the cleavage on Chanel Iman in the commercial was made by the bra alone or if they were cheating.

^ Ah so that was Chanel Iman I thought it was! lol that bra actually scares me, I'm a C cup I do not need to be 2 sizes bigger, just thinking about that frightens me lol. It looks nice though just if it didn't increase the size so much. I have their BioFit though and that really does feel like a custom made bra like they say so I trust them

I imagine that bra must weigh a ton. I was debating just ordering one but I kinda want to try it on first.

:lol::lol:

I never thought about clothing from victoria's secret besides underwear. Nothing really catches my eyes.

Okay so I went and tried on the bra today. I'm already a 34c so don't need that much help up there if you know what I mean, but I was intrigued. The bra will give you two more sizes, but it is stuffed with memory foam. Like straight out of a posturpedic bed. I can see where some gals will love this. But the cup also juts across the fullest part of your cleavage, it cut my boob in half basically. Which is why I go for a demi cup instead. I bought one of the wave bras instead, it looked better in my opinion.

I read somewhere that they cheat... I think it may have been somebody from VS or a model that said this...

Anyway, I can't stand a bunch of fabric/boost on my bras - it drives me nuts! For a short period of time I was all about the cleavage. But as I've progressed through my 20s, either I've become more conservative or just more fussy. :ninja:

Bought one this weekend...

Wow, that really gave you massive cleavage! I'd probably buy one if I was in the states, to wear every now and then. Everyday I'm more into soft bra tops, since I'm an A-cup and really don't need much support.

I was in VS with my cousin yesterday and we were saying how awkward it is when men are in there. Like ok you're waiting for your wife/girlfriend/whatever, go wait outside. I hate shopping with any people around (I'm weird like that lol) but let alone buying lingerie with a bored looking guy standing right next to the shelf I need to be at in my way wasting my time, come on. And yesterday one of the employees was a guy and he was organizing the undies I just think that's SO weird I don't know:rolleyes:...

Well, there's always the online store, if you find shopping in public difficult.
