Viktor & Rolf for H&M

i can't confirm on either..but i am positive they are going to produce some beautiful coats.

- blouses with v&r's signature ribbon details..

-for guys there is a t-shirt that spells out "love" in arrows
-a pair of brown(?) coruduroys with cross stitching all over (also kinda ick..)
- an apparently beautiful trench coat
- skinny jeans (grey and distressed)
- trousers
-white shirt, etc..

*anyways..the showroom here didn't get ALL the samples yet..

sounds interesting on the men's front huh?? I'm eager to actually see the pieces.

...v&r are pretty basic when it comes to menswear...too basic for my taste.
i'd love to see some asymmetries in ther, but it's not their 'thing' for menswear.

I'm not the least bit surprised. This sounds more realistical than Prada. The 'fashion magazines' of Finland have been gushing about the brilliance of Viktor & Rolf for the past year, the three designers known in this country are: Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Viktor & Rolf (well, that makes four but whatever), so I'm not surprised if they are doing this since McCartney and Kaiser have already done it.

It's the same to me if they do a collection for H&M.

Oh yea I forgot about that whole Prada gossip a while ago. I don't think that will ever happen

i have to admit im just not excited about it at all. Like with Stella's collection, this will also have little to do with V&R except for the name. Stella's stuff looked nice in the magazines after careful styling, lightring and photoshop. I bought a skirt and it barely survived its first wash but it was completely unwearable afterwards anyway. Other people had similiar experiences. I know people will buy it just because apparently it was designed by a "designer" and it's kinda cute for H&M. But sorry, it is just another way to overcharge for their usual poor quality merchandise.

Soft, I trust your opinion though so I'm gonna step forward and say I'm going to camp outside the store. Not taking my chances this time. I wasn't excited before but hey, I've accepted that I've been swept up by the hype machine and now I fully accept my fashion victim fate......

argh the descriptions are boring. but this for H&M! "they" are doing basics. any photos yet? does any H&M workers have more details? for me just the trench...skinny i'm def bored of! (i could kill boys wearing those sh*t) and a white shirt. ouh la la sounds exciting!(any details?)

...V&R have never been known for funky/original menswear..their mens collections often border on boring, imho..basic pieces, graphic t-sh*ts, etc..

so, i don't think we should expect anything more than that from their menswear..
