Who's gonna queue on nov.9?

i'm still not so sure about this whole collection, a few pieces are really nice, but a lot is also a bit, well, tacky? or too girlish for me?

i was standing in line last year, and it paid off since i got all the stuff i wanted from the stella collection, but i don't think i will have to get there too early in the morning this time....

what will you guys do? i was just wondering....

finland and iceland are part of scandinavia..my mom is a geography teacher. :D

anyways, isnt the wedding discussion a little off topic? although i think the wedding dress is pretty nice... i cant wait for this collection! i hope i have money by then...

No, Finland and Iceland are part of the Nordic region ("Norden" = the North in Swedish). Norway and Sweden make up the scandinavian peninsula and adding Denmark (w/o Greenland and such territories), probably for historic reasons, results in Scandinavia. The region of importance, however, is "the North" with all five countries. It is based not only on geograhpy but cultural and historic ties as well as political. The nordic region has had trade and passport unions (as well as "more commiting ones" ) since long back and there were advanced plans for a common defense before Denmark and Norway joined the NATO instead. People outside of the nordic region, however, seem to prefer the term Scandinavia for all five countries, though often forgetting the existance of Iceland. Run it by your mum if you like, could be interesting.

For good brethren feelings, my Finnish friends and I present ourselves as scandinavian down here in centralwest Europe where noone gives a damn anyway. We ran into an Icelandic girl at a party in Luxembourg though and said something about the coincidence of so many scandinavians in the same party and got the sourest reply that Iceland by no means was part of Scandinavia and implicating certain ignorance on our part. Tah! This is what one gets for trying to be inclusive!

Sorry for all OT!! Original intent of thread visit was to look at the collection and from what I can see, I believe that it will be very well received by the consumers. I love the idea of the wedding dress and the thoughts it provokes!

I must admit that I was more excited by the original promo images than by this show. However, I'm sure that some of the pieces (and especially the shoes) will look nice seperately.

My main concern for men's at this point is that the jackets don't seem to be very well tailored. Before, it seemed that the arms would be fairly well fitted and the sides waisted, but from these pics they used very large beefy models and the jackets look to be cut more like the current H&M styles. Yuck.

The collection is beautiful, My local H&M is not going to carry this collection. I am so disapointed:cry:

I feel inspired, so I think I am going to replace some buttons on one of my peacoats to hearts. :D

I've checked this thread million times to find the pics...and now I have to say that I'm not impressed...the menswear is quite boring...the grey sweater with the arrow is awful...I prefere what they designed the womenswear...but I like the trench very much.

how much is the red/pinkish salmon dress going for?
That seems to be the only piece that I'd want :ermm:

Definitely could do without the hearts and some of the pieces but I do really love a couple things!! Even just for the few I love, I'm happy to be able to purchase them cheap via h&m :) :flower:

Does anyone have info on which Boston-area stores will receive the collection? I asked at Downtown Crossing today and all the manager could tell me was that the collection was coming in November (oh, okay then!).

I'm curious if they will have it at Cambridge Galleria given that the Stella made it only to Downtown Crossing, and the Lagerfeld collection barely found buyers at the Galleria.

I need quite a few of these pieces. I just hope I dont have to line up outside of 5th Avenue H&M to get me hands on that trench.

seems to be 79,90 €.. at least that's the price on hm site :flower:

does anybody know which H&M shops the collection will be going too? Is it going to be in the Manchester shop??? i cant wait!!!!:bounce:

There is a store locator on the website! Click the small cross next to the items and it pops up ;-)

ah! the whole collection is presented at the h and m site now

I really like this men's vest.. hopefully they are cut small and/or come in XS

Looking at the pictures there's not much I want..but I changed my mind once I saw the fashion show video.. I have too much clothes.. hopefully I'll be underwhelmed once I see the collection on the 9th..
