Vintage!

My own most recent vintage purchase. I'm fairly certain that it's only from the 80's, but I'll count that as vintage... I actually bought it for a 1920's costume party, since it can pass fairly well as being from that era. The fabric's a very wonderful shimmery black, and the neckline has a bow on each side.

Thanks, I found it in a shop. I actually had to photograph it that way, since I've only got my webcam.

purplelucrezia, this is a nice thread, i love some of your dresses and all your photographs (the light!)
here are two of my vintage dresses that i have pictures of at the moment:
you can´t see very much of the first one but it´s a dark blue sixties dress with white dots and white pearls/buttons on the front.
the second one fell apart last year because the fabric had gotten thinner and thinner i had it from the attic of an old house i once lived in..it was probably from around 1900 and belonged to the peasant woman whose italian father built the house. o my god, i´m bad at explaining today...so here they are:

A shoe and a bag I found cleaning my closet out...Ive had them for a while and worn the shoe only once and the bag hasnt seen daylight since the 70's with its former owner probably. Still I like em...I own very few red stuff.

Sephora--love that purse! I have a similar one, but in green.

One of my junk-shop treasures. I'm actually wearing this one today, with grey herringbone tights, black lumberjack boots, and a seed-bead necklace that I made.

Lovely once again strawberry, but I must say that I like those purple beaded shoes, and that Courreges-eque slip dress the best though!

Cleaning out my closet and thought I should take a pic of some of the vintage stuff...

Found my oversized brown bamboo bag and theres 3 of my jackets: black cotton velveteen that needs to be relines cuz I took the old one out, blue cord blazer w/bettie page pins, maroonish velveteen coat and my newsboy cap that belonged to a now deceased family friend ...he lives on with my cap

I have lots more to sort so I'll probably post more stuff later.

So many wonderful vintage finds!

Here are a few that I've bought in just the past 2-3 weeks:

GOLD BELT: this is SO buttery soft and amazing!

BROWN HANDBAG: this is fairly large and flat. I added a scarf around the handle for added interest

PURPLE SILK DRESS: this is so soft!

BLACK DECO CLUTCH: I added a vintage button to it

SILVER GOLD and BRONZE HANDBAG: Love this!

1: Oversize sequin vest..haven't worn in of figured out what I want to do with it
2: Boxy 60ies dress (from the back) in a lovely thick fabric..the roses are slightly silver metallic..I love the detail w. the shoulder ribbon (?)
3: Rose coloured shirt..that I need to take in and alter..has a bit of a Marc Jacobs feel to it
4: close-up of the funny looking sleeves.
5: Turquoise dress w. black tulip pattern..I'm changing the lenght of the sleeves ( I allready tugged up the left sleeve..) and making it more fitted after my pregnancy.
